The Stanley Parable
« on: 11 Oct 2013, 14:48 »

The Stanley Parable Demo has been released on Steam, and it's been pretty awesome.
But I'll spoiler everything if I start talking about it, so I advise, press the link, get the demo, maybe try the original mod, and GET EXCITED.

And once you've finished the demo, you can answer this question:

Wasn't this originally a Half-Life 2 mod or am I missing something?  I keep seeing this being lauded as something new and wonderful when it's pretty old.

The mod was free originally but this is an entirely new release and they're asking money for it. I played the demo as well, it gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect, all things considered.

I just got the image of a midwife and a woman giving birth swinging towards each other on a trapeze - when they meet, the midwife pulls the baby out. The knife juggler is standing on the floor and cuts the umbilical cord with a a knifethrow.

Cire27, it's a remake by the original creator. Just click on the link in my original post, and it'll expl- wait no it won't, but you'll get the idea.
I love their website.

I wouldn't exactly call it a remake. From what I've read about it, the mod was just an appetiser. This release is the main course.

Meh, I'm not. I mean, this demo wasn't even representative of what the Stanley Parable is!  :parrot:
