Battlefield 4 Open Beta Released Yesterday
« on: 02 Oct 2013, 06:58 »

This is even more awesome then the last one. Only one gripe so far.. why did they have to COMPLETELY screw up the controls? You spend all that time getting familiar and fairly good with the BF3 controls and they completely change it. Setting the "Soldier Buttons" to "Veteran" fixed some of the problems.. but the vehicle controls just seem.. weird.

Other then that, it's a lot of fun. The graphics seem improved and the sound is LARGELY improved, especially with the tanks and rocket launchers.

One thing I can't seem to get a hang of, is the XM-25 Airbust that is a gadget weapon for the support class. What exactly is that? I haven't been able to see it in use or anything telling how you can use it. Is it like a tracer gun, or more like a grenade launcher?

I figured the "no smart-ass replies" was already inherent.. apparently not. -_-

I tried that last night.. all it brought up was the XM-25 from the free Battlefield game and just some E3 of it being used but nothing on "how" to use it. It seems like it's just a grenade launcher with night vision

As far as I can tell, it's mostly an area suppression weapon. I've only fiddled with it a couple of times, though. I know how the real-life counterpart works, but that's a little different.

For anyone who has the same question on how exactly to use the XM-25 airburst:

Looks like a sweet way to even the fight with snipers.

I'm pretty excited for this game.. although I'll have to wait till November 15th to play mine on the PS4 :)

If any of you want to check it out.. I believe today is the last day of the beta before the servers go down.
