It's looking as if the AnthroPC adoption service paired Momo with Marigold based on Marigold's needs rather than compatibility. Were they right to do so? Not everything well meant is actually good.

I wonder if Marigold's tweet of: "i'm thankful for video games and anime and people who aren't jerks to me" has anything to do with Momo storming out...

If so, that last remark by Marigold is more than just a slipup- it's her not learning her lesson, not realizing what she did was wrong, simply not getting it.

Actually, that depends on what kind of penguins. Most penguins have black feet. (I admit, I had to google for the second part of the information).

Oh, that last part can happen to anyone, really. It's even documented in the first volume of a series of French books, Le Baleinié - Dictionnaire des Tracas (Le Baleinié - A Dictionary of Hassles), that lists funny neologisms to talk of common, unnamed hassles. A soothing read: it's good to find out you're not alone having these problems.
Here's a rough translation of the corresponding entry:
