Bethesda seems a little wonky on that score. Nukes hit and killed the hell out of everything and made the water all crappy, but left behind all the amazingly fragile nuclear cars. Also a salisbury steak dinner that hasn't been frozen in two centuries is apparently delicious and only mildly radioactive.
you do realize that society has rebuilt itself somewhat

in retrospect that post was really dumb so I'm just gonna say you're gonna have to suspend your disbelief because there are also robots and ray guns in fallout.

You missed the most important part of that house:

The crutches in the little kid's room where there is specifically not a body.

You know, like the crutches the sniper in Minefield uses.

Quote
Minefield was a settlement full of military survivors who found the hill nestled settlement about 100 years after the bombs fell. One day the slavers of Paradise Falls came to the town hidden in the hills and gunned down anyone who stood in their way and enslaved the rest of the inhabitants. Arkansas was a boy when they came and was able to evade the slavers. When Arkansas grew up he spread rumors that the town had inhabitants in it once more. So the slavers arrived once again and were killed by Arkansas' traps for revenge. After that Arkansas has stayed the town's protector, shooting or blowing up any intruders.

Man Tenchi Muyo is easy. Finn as Tenchi, Marceline as Ryoko, and Princess Bubblegum as Ayeka. Jake could be Ryo-Ohki

Mind-controlled cat ears for cosplayers. Brain wave sensors react to your mood, and perk the ears up when concentrating or excited, lay the ears flat when relaxed or bored. A couple of videos inside.

EDIT: And the Japanese are also working on touchable holograms.
