Today was Rolling Thunder! It's probably the best one we've been to. We rode up to Frederick Harley (20 miles north), then down to the Pentagon (40 miles south), then did the parade (30 minutes) and then back north home. The weather was overcast and breezy, so we didn't bake to death in the parking lots at the Pentagon, we rolled out at 2:00pm which is a new record for us, and I only got a tiny bit of sunburn (though it seems to be spreading, which Robert says it can't do but I'm not sure I believe).

Just a couple of photos from our last bout. I didn't really do anything because my glandular fever thought bout day was a great day for a come back so all that happened was I got knocked down a lot, looked like I was going to die and then had to stop playing for the 2nd half. It was CRAP and now I am having to take a week off everything derbies and also a couple of days off work to sleep and hopefully be better to start training for next time! WAH!

Hahaha, no trick of the light. Those shoes were really big. We are apparently not a heel-wearing bunch because they both borrowed pairs from other sources and I just went barefoot. The unfortunate result of that is that I look like the shortest person in the group now. :/

I had a bit of trouble understanding that. I saw a tall guy in a blue shirt with tan pants hugging a guy in a black hoodie and jeans and my brain was like 'OK, photo analyzed' except then it was like 'hey wait why are there legs with no affiliated person going out at a right angle there?'.
