That's because tall guys don't exist! It's a lie! It's a bigger lie than cake, and man, that is a pretty big lie.

(My 6'6" coworker is a lie. I think he suspects something, but I don't have the heart to tell him.)

One of my mates is 5'10". She took growth manipulating hormones when she was a kid so that she wouldn't grow any taller (I still haven't figured out why), but her younger sister did not and that girl is now 6'2".

My older brother is 6'8", so I don't actually consider myself to be all that tall.

Although hopefully I have stopped growing (I might have grown almost an inch in the last year, but I can still hope) because I would like to be able to wear clothing.

When I was younger, I always wanted to be 6' so I could be taller than my cousin, who was 5'11". Now that I'm stuck at 5'10", I'm actually happy, because goddamn I am sick of hitting my head when I go down into people's basements. But it's nice always having a good view at concerts.

I'm just going to preface this entire post with the fact that I don't know very much about clothing, so I am probably going to say something stupid. Feel free to laugh at me.

As I am a poor student, I think probably $40 or $50 is my maximum. If I found jeans that really, really fit, then I would be willing to pay more because I am hopefully no longer growing and would be able to wear the fuck out of them. I also have the feeling that nice jeans probably cost a lot more than that, but, again, I know nothing about clothing. My worry about wearing boys' jeans is really about fit. I wear a size 3 in girls' jeans, but I am only 112 pounds (read: skinny as hell) so I need the legs of jeans to be pretty thin. Can I find boys' jeans that have a wide enough waist but thin enough legs? I always thought that, since boys generally have smaller hips, the legs would be way too wide. Perhaps this is a misconception.

Levi 510s Levi 510s Levi 510s

I am 6'0, male, and 120lbs, we're not that far off, they make them with a 29" waist and a 32" inseam that is actually more like 34"

The waist really is 29" they just felt like being weird about the inseam I guess

So I went to Delia's, and ended up ordering some jeans because they didn't have any in stock that were long enough, but the jeans I tried on fit really well (other than length) and were the style that I wanted. Thanks so, so much for the recommendations. I'm really excited about having jeans that are actually long enough, not just kind-of-sort-of-if-I-stand-really-still-and-don't-twitch long enough.

My inseam is 36", as it turns out. Which explains a lot of my trouble?

Yeah, see, I'm a shade taller than 5'8" and while people have given me crap for being a shorty from time to time, I've found that it's actually a pretty damn convenient height. Maybe the average man is an inch or two taller than me, but the average human isn't. So the world is literally engineered to accommodate my size as standard operating procedure. I can reach everything while still having some leg room and it's pretty rare that I scrape my head on anything. It's honestly a pretty sweet deal. Still, it's kinda funny watching ESPN and listening to sports analysts talk about a 5'9" prospect like the guy is so short as to be some kind of freak of nature. It's like that channel is its own alternate reality sometimes.

Holy cow, no wonder you have problems. My sympathies and I hope you find pants! I now highly recommend extra long jeans from the Gap now, because I have a 32in inseam and I could stand on the extra length and it reached halfway up my foot.

I know they are similar, but I am torn. And they will either be prescription sunglasses or transitions, because I'm getting another pair that is completely different style-wise. (That purple/lime pair I posted a while ago most likely.)

Top pair. It has F-holes, they will sound better.

Actually it is more because I really like tortoiseshell patterned glasses and the stars are something I find really obnoxious on the other pair.

All opinions are valid! I myself am still on the fence. On one hand, they are awesome frames and basically exactly what I've been looking for. On the other hand they are so incredibly different to my current frames that I can't tell whether they suit me or are just hugely different to what I'm used to.

I kind of like frosted clear frames, but if the color is what you are on the fence about, go with black. Or even a cobalt blue if you want something different with a bit of color. The black would work out well and I don't think blue would be too bad with your style either.

Speaking of glasses, I want mine! I ordered them Sunday and they still haven't shipped. :c

Hell no on those clear frames. I think if you could find something that was black with another colour for accents (for some reason, I think orange would be really cool right now? I have no idea where that is coming from. Or red or electric blue)  that would be pretty sweet.
