I want to point out that we do not know that Marten and Delilah actually had sex, which seems to be many people's assumption. All we know is that they made out, took their clothes off, and slept in the same bed. These actions mean that a lot of different possibilities are still on the table...

That's been my thought all week. Who puts clothes on to go to bed after one night stand sex?

I've known plenty of people who have very low self esteem and being naked in the dark is very different to being naked in the morning light. Hell, some people have one night stands BECAUSE of their low self esteem.

Fuck it I know people who have been in committed relationships with me and still feel they can't be naked in front of me in the light completely.

Speaking of Claire… I have an idle speculation that she will react to the news of Marten's hookup either very well or very poorly. Surprised no one brought that up, especially since we're on the heels of the whole kissing discussion (which was probably a few days ago in QC time), in which she talked rather self-consciously.
Not trying to explicitly ship, but this would be an ideal litmus test, in light of Jeph's pacing and general style, for the future of that prospective ship. If she gets very jealous, we have a clue. If she is unmoved, we also have a clue. If he skips that particular interaction, we have a big clue.
(hoping I didn't cross a line with that, but it seems like the sort of thing to speculate on)

I just came back from the bookstore. I happened on a game relevant to not one but two of the subjects we have discussed the last two weeks. The game is called "Jeg har aldrig" (I Have Never). This is what is say s on the back, translated by me from memory: "You need a group of friends and some fancy drinks. Players take turns reading one of the cards aloud. If the card says e.g. 'I have never forgotten the name of a sex partner', all those who have forgotten the name of a sex partner must drink. Obviously, the game is more fun if the players are willing to share some details of the event thats they admit to."

"Normal" Dora and "Normal" Faye would never have met because Faye would have gotten her art degree and be in the middle of getting ready for her third solo showing. But then "Normal" Marten would never have dated either of them as he wouldn't have been shy enough to not hit on Dora the first time he walked into CoD and so would have been slam-dunked into Dora's mental "loser bin" but he would have still been too shy to talk to the "famous artist" Faye. In fact, "Normal" Marten would have gone out with Sara and saved her from the Allosaurus, at the cost of his left hand. They're married with one kid, and another on the way now, since Marten got that specialist physiotherapy job helping professional musicians learn to use their new prosthetics to best effect.
