User profile change

A modest, but significant change has been made to the user profiles on this forum. 

The "Gender" field has been removed, and gender is no longer asked for on registration, nor displayed in the profile.  It was felt on the one hand that the options of Male, Female and no reply were insufficient, and on the other hand that gender should not be picked out as a feature of someone to be included in their profile in any case.

A new field has been added, called "About Me".  This is an optional field containing free text, which is displayed on the profile page.  There is no guidance what you can put in there; you could, for instance, put your shoe size, or your preferred personal pronouns, or that you prefer cats to dogs - or nothing.
