I thought that as well, but stuff like this has a tendency to propagate. Just look at how many ten-year-old funny gifs go through a weekly, monthly or multi-monthly cycle of being shared to imgur, 9gag, facebook, reddit, etcetera...

Speaking of which, here's how to make a better gif. I'd like to see this become the new standard.

Eh, GIFs still suck... I once tried to create a GIF of the wavefunction of a molecule we were studying. I couldn't get it to work because I was using variable transparency to represent the wavefunction density, and GIF doesn't support alpha channels. Instead I ended up throwing a javascript thing together to set up a canvas which then switched PNG frames*.

* Yes, I know there's an animated PNG format, but no web browsers support it.

Yeah those US plugs look really flimsy, our plugs are cylindrical so bending them doesn't happen easily.

Clenching doesn't bend plugs, it just makes them thinner at that point
