I refuse to admit, in this space, whether sobriety is a thing I possess.

As far as you fucks know, I'm road-testing stand-up.

You are a fucking terrible audience.

I hope you're proud.

Mathematically, there's a 50% chance of a drunk dude putting his shirt on backwards.

Let's be real. It's 100%

It's like USB ports.  You try to put the plug in, and it won't go in.  Then you turn it around, and the same thing happens.  Finally you switch it back around the first way and it works.  I do not understand this phenomenon.

Drunk me used to be shirtless me. Though, I used to have a six-pack, so maybe that was why.

Drunk me has nothing to do with shirts, but I can and will speak perfect swedish when I'm drunk. I even once slept on my friend's sofa and sang "Sommartiden" until I fell asleep.

Kids are like drunks x100. When my sis was like 5 she managed to put her shirt on backwards, inside-out and upside-down once. Now that's impressive.

A streamer I follow because of his diverse gameplays of mainly Sonic with some Hatsune Miku Project Diva sprinkled played Project Diva F2nd for 7 hours today. I sat there, waiting, every 7 hours of it, just to say that Miku left the 0 (Something said on the lyrics for "The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku") to RUN. THRU DA. 6. WIT HER WOES.

And now that I got that horrible joke out of my chest I feel in deeper communion with mankind as a whole.

i have the flu.
not the proper flu, (i've had the proper flu twice ,including the swine, so i know what that's like) but rather the illness people get which they call the flu because they've never actually had the real flu, so probably just a bad cold.

being a man this means that it is most likely a fatal illness.
but it's ok because after i die, i will recover like i always do.

what i can't understand though is why do i get sore eyes when i have a cold.
they really ache.
especially when moving them around.
i could understand if it were sinus pressure or something but right now my head is actually quite clear, it's mostly sitting in my chest.

All this Life of Brian shit makes me want to watch that movie again.

I've seen that damn movie about 157 times. Will the 158th be that much better? Will I see that much more truth in the grammar section? Will I catch something new from Biggus Dickus?

After extensive research, nope.

I just found out I'm (sorta) closely related to the actor who played the title role in the legendarily bad 1981 Tarzan, The Ape Man.

He was nominated for 'Worst Actor,' but I mean, he didn't actually win, so I figure it's fine.

I made a giant fireball and gave myself 2nd degree burns on my right hand. I treated it very well and it's healing perfectly, so I'm inclined to believe my decision to make giant fireballs was a correct one.

I literally just spent 20 goshdang minutes in the bathroom talking to the mirror like I'm some kind of stand-up comedian. Shit, whether I had an act or not, the entirety of it (excepting the joke about my father shitting in a pool) was expended. Mayhap this belongs in the 'I am Drunk!' Thread, but seeing as I stilll feel mostly sober, I feel it's more a miscellaneous musing.

Because Thailand is silly. Why should it pronounce it's name as such? The obvious pronunciation is fucking sexy. I'd visit thigh-land all the goddamn time. The booty is attached to the thighs is the most attractive part to the person!

Going back to the Latin, "person" derives from "persona", which refers to an individual. "People", on the other hand, comes from "populum", and it refers to a group of persons sharing a culture or social environment.  So in origin, "person" is a singular word with the plural "persons", and "people" is a singular word meaning "a group of miscellaneous persons" and having the plural "peoples".

Neither OED nor Merriam-Webster gives "people" as the plural of "person", even informally.  However, many writers have used people as the plural form of person, and nowadays it is widely accepted. Notice that legal and very formal texts still use persons as the plural form.

It would certainly sound wrong to describe the trinitarian Christian God as "three people" rather than "three persons".

As of today, I have had both experiences, and I can say that, in the short term, a minor car wreck is hella more stressful than a near-death accident resulting in a month-long coma and permanent partial-paralysis.

At least then you don't have to deal with panicking, hyperventilating, locking your keys in the car alongside your insurance information, and ultimately having to leave your (somehow broken down after only denting the sideboard behind the back wheel) car about 500 yards from the police station. It was a bad day.

So I'm technical directing a play this summer, but at the last production meeting I got asked if I could also do props...the play is partially set in a crackhouse. I feel as though this comic is applicable.

Then again, considering that one semester I took Arabic class and a course on international terrorism at the same time, my internet searches have probably already put me on the NSA's list. Why not add the DEA too?
