Better late than never?
« on: 11 Oct 2014, 14:50 »

So, with 50-odd posts under my belt I'm not really "new" but as the majority of those are one or two responses in a thread with vast swaths of time between postings, I figured that somewhat more regular posting (a trend I hope continues, as a step towards being less of a hermit) merited a thread here.  SO.  I generally have enjoyed lurking, as the forum here reminds me quite a lot of one I used to post on in that it's filled with intelligent folks with a variety of interests, and not just a cesspool of prepubescent bravado and trolling (as I've unfortunately found other communities to be).  Anyway, I guess that's my introductory speech, so I look forward to talking more with everyone as time goes on.  Cheers!

Welcome to the forums! Read the rules, mind the gap, and guard your lug wrench.

Thanks all!

Also, I fully intend to follow the rules (civility and consideration are rare and precious to find on the internet, and I'm happy to be a part of that).

...This is my lug wrench.   There are many like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my lug wrench is useless.  Without my lug wrench, *I* am useless....
