Greetings!
« on: 02 Nov 2014, 19:34 »

Hello there forum! So, these are always kind of awkward for me. I don't know how to find a good center between "boring list of facts" and "THE INTENSITY OF MY LIFE STORY". So, instead of the happy medium that isn't boring but still showcases my personality and who I am, you get the sterilized list because I am socially awkward. I'm a mid 20s trans lady from the Midwest. After I heard Martin and Clair became a thing, I started the comic from the start. I finished and have been checking daily for new strips. Favorite characters? I love Clair and Marigold both so much, I relate too well to each.

Outside of QC I love Doctor Who, do photography when inspiration hits, play video games, and otherwise generally flounder about in life.  So, um, hi! :D

PS: Thanks for addressing trans stuff in the rules thread. It's what convinced me to sign up :)

Welcome to the forums! Read the rules, mind the gap, guard your lug wrench and Google Translate is your friend.

Welcome to the forums Syl (and I will most likely always address you like this unless you specifically tell me you don't like it because I'm too lazy), and I hope you find yourself at home. I joined like 3 weeks ago and I kinda do :D

But there's something that clashes me in your whole being. How can you appreciate puns you don't like? :psyduck:

Syl? Hmmm. It reminds me of this character on the right from classic Doctor Who. His name is Sil. The face the other creature is making sums up Sil's personality pretty well, haha. That said, I don't mind what anyone calls me. Sy, Syl, lil, and Lilly are all fine :)

My partner instilled the appreciation by simple brute force of just making puns over and over and over, hahaha. I find them endearing now, even if they make me groan. ;)

Favorite Doctor? Thats a tough question now a days. I've seen minimal Classic Who (most of the first Doctor, "Genesis of the Daleks" with 4, and "Trial of a Time Lord" with 6) but I like pretty much all the New Who Doctors. I really enjoyed David Tennant and Matt Smith. I'm loving Peter Capaldi so far - reminds me so much of the first Doctor. Eccleson I probably would have enjoyed more if he had more quality episodes. Having "Dalek", which hooked me, and the Slitheen, which almost made me stop watching, in one season was strange. Though, if I had to choose I'd probably say Matt Smith because of "Vincent and the Doctor". That episode really impacted me :)
