The Pick-Me-Up Thread
« on: 03 Nov 2014, 13:21 »

Maybe it's the fact that today is Monday. Maybe it's because the "sad songs" thread really impacted me and I thought about how it made us all experience the same emotion from one thread.

Or...maybe I was inspired by the fact that I personally need a pick-me-up at the moment.

Post anything that makes you feel good- funny pics, cute animals, your favorite meme, an inspiring quote, whatever makes you smile or laugh- even if it's just for a second. I'll start it off with what might be the happiest looking owl on the planet.

This song's so goofy on so many levels that it always makes me smile. It's also great for blasting at high volume and singing, likewise at high volume.

And this one, which is especially good for an office cubicle on a Monday roundabout 2 PM:

Ah music, what would we do without it. I'm more heavily invested into edm now so I tend to steer towards a very specific genre, which for some odd reason it's labeled as Future Bass.

And another. I don't speak Spanish, but Soda Stereo/Cerati has been one of my standbys ever since the first time I heard this song:

Not a song or a picture, but we've been joking about my kitten basically being Garfield since he's super lazy and stripy orange, eats all the time and just falls over and sleeps. The pick-me-up is that today we discovered he really, really likes lasagna. And he was kinda grumpy today, maybe because it's Monday?

Hehe, kinda like my friend's cat. Although his love for Lasagna is still to be confirmed.

This is actually an impression of my reaction when Claire and Marten became a couple.

Is that penguin ever going to jump to second gear?

Jokes aside, that's extra-cute.
