Becky, come one. You saying Ethan should of forced himself on her by now?

The way I read it is that she figured out that Ethan is gay on her own (the same way Walky did) and this is her way of calling him out on it. I could be (and probably am) wrong, though.

I hope so.  Becky is coming off quite radical.

Well, to be fair, her first question was "You get in each other's pants yet?"  Which is kind of a weird thing to ask.  Goshdarned glorious or not, Ethan is waayyyy too tall to wear anything of Dorothy's, and Dorothy would probably need a belt to keep Ethan's up.

Ethan' s reaction seems to suggest that my interpretation of what Becky said was right, or at least he had the same interpretation. ..

The default keyboard on the LG Optimus. It's like a combination of the regular Android keyboard and the Swype keyboard (except the pattern recognition is terrible, making it useless).

Okay, I've been patient, but Becky's starting to grate on me, too.  Not even a moment of vulnerability can help, since she goes right back to being mean-spirited.

Yeah, I recognize that, and like I said, I was being patient.  But my reaction to yesterday's strip was an uncontrollable "Ugh, Becky will NOT. SHUT. UP., will she?"  So I guess I reached my limit?

But then today's strip hit, and the mild feels overwhelmed my annoyance.  Awww, Joyce is evolving being a good friend!

Yeah, I don't really care for Becky too much either. I can't even read the comment section on days with Becky because they're always just talking about how wonderful she is. The more I feel like they're trying to make me like her, the more annoyed I am with her. But honestly, there just isn't anything in particular about her that I enjoy. For me, she's primarily annoying. I like the complexity of her back-story and such, but she's the type of person I would not get along with. She reminds me of someone I know, a person that I have referred to as Maleficent on here before. It's not just that they're aggressively assertive about "LOOK AT ME; I'M A LESBIAN." There's a lot of neediness that shows in how they want someone to be paying attention to them every moment of the day. That's something they have in common, and they also are very much about their own needs, especially in terms of "If you have a problem with me being insensitive and rude, then it's just because ~you can't handle me.~" Ugh.

I try to stay away from seafood in general, mostly because I'm not so happy with the fishing industry, but sushi and shashimi tastes fucking wonderful. I have to guilt trip myself not to get seafood.

I've never had sushi, I'd have to go to the city two hours away to get to a restaurant and I'm usually visit in the city with my Partner who hates fish.

Becky is trying real hard to prove she's Joyce's best friend.

I suspect she's kept everything bottled up for so long, now that she's out from under her family's rules she's trying to 'catch up'. I also am guessing she feels a bit threatened by the fact that she feels all she has left is Joyce, and she has all these new friends.

Becky reminds of a lot of young GLB kids I have met (including myself). It's a whole new world and we tend to be so excited by the fact we can finally be open, that we don't think so much about how much we might annoying the shit out of our friends.* She just needs time to adjust to all the changes in her life and find a nice medium

*This is a condition that one of my friends lovingly refers to as "Baby Gay Syndrome."

Okay, I overreacted above.  Joyce's aversion to sushi was understandable, considering her issues with food.  It's just Walky who was being unforgivably immature about it, and wasting good sushi.  At least Joyce is trying, even if her desire to make and keep Becky happy is going a bit far.  Everyone's overcompensating these days, I guess.

I don't know any others here who are, but I think it's different when you 'Come Out' when you're older.

I know it was for a friend of mine when she finally came out three years ago.  She had been married and has a son, and was actually the GF of my ex-friend - I think I've mentioned him here before.

In case I haven't, that's not the reason I dropped him two or so years back.  There were other issues in regards to that matter.

I think Becky kind of hoped Joyce was a secret lesbian too. Now we see another girl being cutsey with her BFF. I know what Becky's eating. Jelly donuts.

I just realized earlier today that Joyce still hasn't called her mom back.  And her mom called her before she had her giant revelation in Gender Studies, back when she was only just worried about Becky.  Now she has Ethan to defend, too, so how is she going to tell her parents that she stands by her gay best friend and broke up with her gay boyfriend because she realized she was wrong to try to change him?  She should be making battle plans, not eating sushi.

Maybe Ethan should give Joyce's sister a call, fill her in on the developments.  (And what happens when Joyce finds out about Jocelyne?)
