Walky is being rude, invasive, and childish. Business as usual. Seriously, if a dude had charged into my room like that, there would have been hell to pay. If he shoved me or my roommate in the process, all the more so. I do not take that kind of shit lightly.

FWIW, Dorothy seems to be enjoying getting Walky riled; she's doing everything she can to rile him up even more! I could be wrong but I wonder if she likes him aggressive and rough.

I saw the movie a few times. It's 'indomitus' with a 't,' not an 'n.'

I suspect that Amber's behaviour will increase Dina's ambivalence to the point where she starts to question whether what Amber 'wants' is mentally and emotionally healthy for her.

Panel 4 in the 7/18 comic can be read two ways. Either Ruth thinks being dead would be nice or Ruth finds the idea of Carla discovering her corpse and being permanently scarred by the experience nice. The latter is as much in character as the former.

Yeah, I'm saying it's a good thing Billie's call got interrupted. Going by Sal's face, she was quickly heading for a Gibbs slap, or the equivalent.

That's 'cos Carla is starting to hulk-out.  Although in this case it might be due to lack of cookies and annoyance rather than serious anger.

More importantly, it means that that Mary no longer has any blackmail material against Ruth (hence Mary's anger).  Now just get that girl some cookies.

Well, hell. For a moment there I thought Mary was actually being a decent person and trying to protect Ruth.  Now it looks like she was just worried about getting the blame if it comes out she knew and didn't tell. And that fear only lasted until she could blame someone else for it.

It would be kind of nice to think someone isn't completely horrible, and actually try to make an effort to help someone who is clearly in dire need of all the help she can get.

An interesting thing about this came up in the comments for the latest strip... basically, because Ruth is an employee of a school, what Mary is doing is Class 6 felony intimidation in the state of Indiana.

I suspect that today's strip (7/28) is the moment the countdown clock to Mary being transferred to Anderson starts. She'll be so socially isolated and universally despised after today that it will start impacting on her mental health and academic performance.

The key moment will be whether Joyce tries to reach out to her and whether Mary takes that chance when it comes to her.

I like where this is going.  Very realistic.  It seemed like it could have gone into sit-com territory with Mary having a blackmail situation with the whole floor against the RA.  Honestly I think they may just give Ruth a warning and just see about moving Billie.  That would stick it to Mary and be reasonable.

I honestly don't think that would happen. People don't much like Ruth, and a little scared of her. But from what I can tell, the feelings towards Mary range from distaste to outright hatred.  About the best reaction she gets out of people is to be utterly ignored, like what the RM did here. Or to pity her, like Dorothy did. It would be quite the stretch  for anyone to want to help her.. Especially if that help could get them in trouble, like it could if people found out she was blackmailing the RA.

From her reaction in today's strip (7/30), I suspect that she'll be hard pressed not to hug Ruth and try to make all the bad things go away. At the very least, I suspect that Ruth will be required to attend sessions with an on-campus therapist.
