So if Billie is in a different dorm, is there any reason they can't keep dating?

Ruth's parents are dead and Clint is their only close kin. He was given guardianship over them both.

I get the feeling that Sarah is increasingly wondering if Joyce is transferring what she wants to do with Jacob onto her. Specifically the 'stalk' bit. I think that Sarah needs to sit Joyce down and explain acceptable boundaries of behaviour.

I think that is underestimating Joyce's naivete. She's working towards the 'fairy tale ending' that she's sure is the right shape of the universe; she's also doing so with incomplete information and in the completely erroneous assumption that Sarah wouldn't steer her wrong.

I suspect that Sarah will pull her back in a day or so after spending all that time angsting about what she's done. There will then follow a talk about boundaries that will shake the foundations of Joyce's world-view when it comes to romance. What remains to be seen is if Joyce first makes a fool of herself by marching up to Raidah and essentially explaining what she's doing and why (either directly or indirectly).

Sorry, don't agree.
(Unless you mean her naivety is in believing Sarah want's Jacob for herself... And thus feeling those means justify the ends she is choosing to work?)

But...
Joyce has already stated that she does not WANT Raidha and Jacob together. (In fact, this strip starts with her re-asserting that.)
All Sarah is doing, is giving Joyce the go-ahead to try to enforce what she already thinks should be the status quo, regardless of Sarah's motives...

Joyce, being the Christian and all, is forgetting (or ignoring) the "Judge not..." tenet.
Who is *she* to decide who should be with whom?
And all of it based on nothing more than Sarah disliking Raidha and liking Jacob?

That's... why.. that's 'sinful', isn't it??

Either way..
This is gonna end up in an all-out s**tfest,

OR Jacob and Dorothy find ultimate peace in their shared beliefs, and her innocence and desire to become a 'good wife', and an outlet/support for Jacob to curb his sex addiction...

Or an all-out s**tfest...

The thing is that Joyce can only go on what she's seen. Raidah has been catty and cruel to Sarah whilst Sarah is Joyce's big sister surrogate (in her own mind at least); Raidah and Sarah's roles in Joyce's world-view were set by their behaviour, not her choice. So, she'd not judging; she's acting in harmony what all that nice Mr Walt Disney's movies has told her is the natural order of things: The princess (Sarah) lives happily ever after with the Prince (Jacob) and the Wicked Witch (Raidah) ends up defeated and with nothing.

You can't be said to be 'judging' if all of the influences on your social development have already done the judging for you on a subconscious level.

I think only something like 3 months have passed in *real time*?
(And Joyce has seen Sarah be just as Catty... what she is *not* seeing is Raidha's reaction to Sarah's actions.

And Joyce is not a child. I totally get the 'Fairy Tale' she may be labouring under, but it doesn't alter the fact that to do so she has to give places to those characters...
And to put someone in the role of the Wicked Witch, means having to judge the Witch as Wicked in the first place.
But even on a basic level, she wants to break Jacob and Raidha up because she judges that Sarah is a better person than Raidha...
NOT a Christian value...

(although that's a WHOLE other story... one which would lead to me showing how it is ENTIRELY a Christian value, despite the holy handbook's instructions)

"Joyce is not a child"

Ehhh, she's only what, 18-19? She's a college freshman. Not quite a child, but not really an adult, either.

Old enough that she should know when she's being judgemental - Naïve enough to not know she's being used?
:)

That said... I hate to admit it, but I'm finding there's a little bit of hypocrisy going on over at the DoA forum, mainly down to how this exact issue is being given a *pass* because it's two 'better liked' characters!  :)  I mean, Sarah is getting a little bit of stick, but how much of an arse would *Mike* be getting called if he had been in Sarah's place?

It probably helps that most people don't like Raidah at all. They'd probably be fine with Mike doing it too taking that into consideration.

True, although I'm totally ambivalent towards her.
Mainly because I'm on the fence about "What Sarah Did!"
I get her reasoning. But I also understand the other friends' reacted the way they did... no-one likes a clipe!

FWIW, it will be interesting to see if it occurs to Sal to look up. This doesn't seem to be something that asymptomatically occur to people, in my experience.

Laundry girl?

The last time Sal had any interaction with the Amber persona, she was having a panic attack in the laundry room at the very sight of her most feared person - Sal Walkerton. Sal hadn't noticed; indeed she's remained oblivious of  the fact that Amber freezes or runs away whenever she shees her.
