The Mary Sue Interviews Jeph
« on: 12 Dec 2014, 18:04 »

A contributor to The Mary Sue (a female positive website focusing on science fiction and fantasy and many other topics) interviewed Jeph about QC and how he came to have such an inclusive web comic.  The interview is very positive.

Wow, thank you for finding that. It's really good.

Also addresses some questions that have come up on the forum.

Very cool.  Thanks from me, also, for posting it.

And kudos to Jeph!

I enjoyed it. I know he's done Q&A's and such in the past, but he hasn't really talked much about the comic for awhile. I like when authors do that.

That was a really great interview.  I very much appreciated what he said about the accusations of having a "diversity checklist to be a proper social justice warrior" versus "diverse characters are more fun to write", because while I've consciously made my writing more diverse over the past four years, I've found that I'm having more fun with my characters because of it.

Nice interview, and a very interesting website, too. After reading that interview, I found this short but hilarious article: http://www.themarysue.com/jk-rowling-doesnt-want-to-tell-you-about-voldermorts-virginity/

LIKE a lot of what The Mary Sue posts, but have issues with it on FB

And I think they're very rude ignoring my THREE E-MAILS regarding the issue.
