A Potential Influx of Newbies?
« on: 23 Jan 2015, 19:32 »

The latest QC plotline was discussed in a Washington Post article, at least in the online version.  I wonder if we aren't going to see an influx of new readers in the next little bit.

Weeeeeeeeeeelp I'm going to head to the ForumCo bunker and hunker down for the next 18 months and I'm locking the door behind me.
And I'm giving fair warning to the rest of you....if you don't make it, I'm going to rifle through your pockets and steal all the money you have on you.

No no no.. You see, when you exit from a vault, money will have no value. It's the bottlecaps you want. And don't forget your Pip-boy.

Shoot, if you're relying on the money you'll find in my pockets, you are so screwed.

No, you don't understand, I want the change, the coinage. I'm going to make a coilgun and plink the coins in, shooting them at the newbies.

Ooh, now there's an idea. I've got a bucket of pennies. They're useless as money, but they'd be good for that.

Nowadays I pay most of my stuff with debit card. I am afraid you won't find much change.

Depending on the banking laws .de, a credit card is safer.  I know it is in .us.

Let individual newbies prove themselves before flinging obsolete coinage at them. Then the coilgun can be switched to precision-fire mode.

I wonder what the record will with these guys in reading all 2800+ strips...? For the really hardcore newbie, to read the entire archive in one sitting!

Administrator Comment Let's be sure to welcome new people. They are often fascinating and a stream of incoming members helps prevent cliquishness from setting in.
