My EDC?
As 'every single time' as I possibly can, the keys to my flat unless I want to be embarrassingly in the shit with my flatmate.  :-P
I have so many keys on one ring too, so this carries a lot of clout.
Also purse, disposable contact lenses, notepad, phone, earphones, pen, lipbalm, mascara, concealer. That's generally it.

My phone, my wallet (currently just my credit card, woops) and my house keys (If I'm in the city, if if I'm at home then no keys).

What else do you need?

other than the normal phone/keys/wallet/headphones stuff, I always keep a comb in my pocket because the wind around here is positively Odyssean sometimes.

Being in a college town where it isn't strange to carry a backpack everywhere is helpful. I keep my wallet, phone charger, some paper, and plenty of pencils and pens in there.

Also there's always a change of clothes in the trunk of my car. I haven't thought of what situations I'd need that in, but I don't want to find out and not have them.

This is the opposite of an EDC - but I NEVER carry around any significant amount of cash. Not since I was mugged in broad fucking daylight in Flushing Meadows.

things have changed.
switched to a front pocket wallet... phone and wallet in front right.
I got a pebble... which is awesome. it lives on my left wrist with my medical id bracelet.
I also found an old multi-tool that I've added to my keys. pliers, 2xphillips, 2xslotted, ruler, wire cutter, square...

I've been carrying this giant Calavera #4 for a few months now. Kinda tanky, but a great working knife. Indestructible.

I did make a trade into my first Chris Reeve today (Umnumzaan), but I'll probably still carry the Calavera to work.

I carry so much that changing pants and having to transfer it all is an unpleasant chore.

The unusual items are hand sanitizer and a phone charger. I did have a coworker make fun of the first aid kit once. Another odd one is the laser pointer. You never know when you'll have a cat to play with.

The other unusual thing is two key cases. They start malfunctioning if packed over 50% capacity.

It all overflowed my pants pockets years ago and I've been carrying a fanny pack, which I hear is going to be fashionable any day now.

I am too young to remember much of them, but the 80's were a particularly odd time for fashion, I could possibly believe they were then.

They were originally intended to worn facing backwards over the buttocks, fanny is a slang term for butt off n the USA.

Interesting, I've never seen them worn facing backwards, and for good reason...wouldn't you sit on them if they were on your butt?

Well, not ON, you butt, above it, but yes it was a poor design decision, which probably why that method never caught on. I've never used one so I can't speak for om experience.

The only things I carry every day are my phone and my fitbit, everything else I either keep it in my pocket for a little while, have it in a coat that I take off, or keep it in the car. Those things include keys, my wallet, headphones, gloves for winter. I would have my wedding ring as an EDC, but I don't wear it to work for fear of losing it/getting it all slimy and gross, and I don't wear it to the gym for worry it will slip off my finger from sweat/get scratched up by the free weights. When I get a new job I'll definitely get it fitted better to wear all the time.

My favourite language quirk EVER. Both us and them refer to it incorrectly, if we swapped words we'd both be more correct.

Pretty standard stuff: wallet, phone, headphones, plus a micro notebook and pen for random thoughts/shopping lists/writing "This Ad Insults Women" on plastic surgery ads. I used to have an iPod but they keep breaking, so with the release of the 128gb micro SD I'm going to just phone.

Same.  That, and the reason that I carried an iPod back in '03-'05 besides music was that it was the most convenient portable HDD to have on one's person for carrying data.

Yeah. I'm super old fashioned and don't do streaming music at all, so I'm super glad this new option has come up. Unfortunately about a quarter of my library is from before iTunes went DRM free, so I can't bring that over, but it beats paying many monies every nine to twelve months to replace the front screen of an iPod that's slightly too small anyway.

As far as I know it just gives the protected files again, although they may have fixed that since I last tried.

It'll give the protected files again unless you pay to unlock the DRM, yes. But, iTunes will let you burn them to a CD, which also doesn't have DRM.

That's bizarre as fuck. Why would they even still keep the DRM copies on their servers once they went DRM free?

They likely don't keep protected files on their servers, rather, they generate an encrypted file upon download, I'd guess.

Alternately, they only keep protected files on their servers, and give the client a decryption key.

I did just test one album and you do have to pay full price. So annoying. I could theoretically burn/re-rip all the DRM-locked music, but I'd have to figure out which albums it was, go buy literally one million CDs, set aside an entire weekend, etc etc etc

I still carry my iPod, and I probably will until it dies. My phone has space for music but i don't trust the battery capacity, and I also like to have all my music available because I'm so indecisive... I purchased one of the last iPod classics before they stopped producing them, and judging by my previous iPod I'll have it forever (it was stolen in 2014, and I'd had it for 8 years at the time. Wherever it is now I'm sure it still works).

I have the habit of going out with a burly jacket with huge interior pockets, a backpack, and a laptop bag.

Inventory in my basic clothes:
HTC Desire 601 phone, also used as an MP3 player
Wallet
Keys and bus pass attached to my belt

Inventory in my jacket:
Sony Bass earphones for my phone
Twinnings Earl Grey tea bags (individually wrapped)
large metal Tim Hortons travel mug

Inventory in my backpack:
Pencil case, including scientific calculator
Plastic case containing papers from various classes
Twinnings Earl Grey tea bags (individually wrapped, in a metal box)
Fork

Inventory in my laptop bag:
HP Pavilion
Charger cable for HP Pavilion
USB phone charger
USB mouse
Full set of tabletop RPG dice
Twinnings Earl Grey tea bags (individually wrapped)

Basically, I'm an accounting student with a caffeine addiction.

I don't think I could EDC a $1300 knife.

edit:
I also don't think I could justify buying a $1300 pocket knife.

He did win it, though. I really like knives and stuff, but I'd definitely sell a hugely expensive one. My current one that I carry was only $15, though it mostly just looks cool.

Anyways, for work I added a small hatchet and a multi-tool for trail and camp maintenance. So while I'm at work I have decent hiking gear (though my pack is still shoddy, but it was my older brother's so I'm not changing it) so other'n that just regular people stuff (phone, keys, wallet) and that knife I mentioned.

Pockets=phone, keys, wallet, kinfe. Jewelry= A ring I got from my grandfather, a necklace made from a leather string with my dead wife's and my wedding rings on it. A satchel containing a sketchbook and pencils, spiral notebook, nail clippers, water bottle, pack of facial tissue, and a small first-aid kit.

I don't think I could EDC a $1300 knife.

I don't know literally anyone who could justify buying a $1300 knife. But it's such a joy to handle I can't throw it in the safe and forget it either. It's actually kind of a weird spot to be in, for now I'm just considering it a $60 knife, that's what the raffle cost me (and even that was a fundraiser).
