I don't think it'd take anything that drastic. I know I'm in the minority in terms of people who think character development is a possibility in this comic (I'm only being slightly sarcastic), but I think Faye may not have been the only one getting a wake-up call after that last bender (he may feel/realize he enabled her to a degree -- see 2870. I'm sure he'll still be his usual wiseass self, but maybe with a bit more wise and a bit less ass.
