Spectre (James Bond)

First trailer is out:

Didn't really do much for me. I'm sure it'll be good, but I was never really on-board with Skyfall being a great movie, and I guess this will be the same.

I will watch this for one reason, and one reason only, and that is Batista.

I guess I'm the wet blanket, since I haven't seen a Bond film since Die Another Day.

I just don't care for the reboot of the franchise - same way I don't care for the reboot of Star Trek.

But Casino Royale and Skyfall were SERIOUSLY good!

Watched the teaser now.

First thought: Direct sequel? (please don't be another Quantum of Solace)

Second thought: EEEEEEEEEEEE Christoph Waltz

Quantum of Solace isn't that bad....if you watch it IMMEDIATELY after Casino Royal.

It's pretty bad ESPECIALLY since it came immediately after Casino Royale. Quantum had nonsensical globe hopping, a useless evil henchman, and they killed Matthis for no good reason whatsoever. They should have spent more money on the script rather than that stupid computer interface they were bragging about.

Skyfall is my absolute favorite James Bond film (after Goldfinger).

Quantum was made during the writer's strike. For a lot of scenes it had no script at all.

Casino Royale > Quantum of Solace > Skyfall. I do hope this breaks the trend.

Wow, I absolutely disagree with you on that one.

I just realized that the guy Bond talks to and shows the ring to might be Mr White from Quantum. Interesting.

God, I hope so. One reason I hated Skyfall was them completely ignoring Quantum (the organization). If Quantum turns into Spectre I'll be happy.
