The term is surely somewhat obvious?  Specifically, I see it used most often for making large numbers of essentially content-free posts.

That would also work, but the more common usage IME is referring to shitting all over the thread/forum/whatever.

I went to a cheap state school for undergrad, my loans are for my two (so far) attempts at grad school in fields I realized I didn't want to pursue (education and law). Hopefully third time's a charm, since I'll be taking loans out for this one too when I start next year.

I took out a loan in my first year of university. I failed and decided not to return. Instead I took up a series of menial and degrading jobs and consistently earned under the repayment threshold. I then started moving around a lot and even changed countries a couple of times. In all of this, the government seems to have lost track of me.

Mind you, I can't help but think that they aren't really looking that hard. I have a passport, driving license, a consistent history of paying tax, have frequently mithered my Member of Parliament on petty issues. Oh, and I've worked for multiple departments of central government and at one time had the privilege of being a named individual on a key interdepartmental policy document that was issued to the Treasury and Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.

I didn't go to college. I'm happy with how my life turned out as a result. No hole to dig myself out of, so I'm able to save my surplus pay, and at the age of 39, I have $55k in various assets (CDs, IRA, bank account, etc).

Apparently, more USians are going to University in Germany because it's free, even for non-Germans, and they now have programmes that are entirely in English.  Part of me is thinking to do it to finish my education, just because it'd be less expensive than doing it in any habitable place in the US.

They aren't being viewed as roadblocks though. As companies push for having degrees and internships for nearly every job, people see those going to college as ways to make money. Hence they are willing to give out student loans like candy, knowing it will put those students in pretty much life-long debt at this point. All the while pushing for the 'necessity' to go to university. They want you there, so they can put  you in debt to them. Just one more example of how in the US citizens are viewed as commodities and not you know.. people or valuable resources. Something to be used and used until broken and expended, then discarded.
