Could be one of the ad-blocking add-ons I'm using, I guess. I did notice that that imgur link tried to load a Flash object (when I allowed it to load, it failed to work). Though if you have to load a Flash object to display a GIF, I'd argue you're doing something wrong.

That would depend on what you're using.  I'm using Adblock Plus and Adblock Plus Pop-up Addon myself and I don't seem to have andy issues with them.

Flashblock is the one that usually causes the most issues with online video, so it's probably that.

This is being nitpicky, but I'm pretty sure that commentator isn't Spanish. Or at least the accent isn't.

Also Spanish commentators sound much less clear when they talk.

Latin American, most certainly.  Totally different dialect, unless one mixes with the upper classes, where speaking Castillian is more common.  I have known people from the UK who spoke Spanish who where almost mutually incomprehensible with Spanish speakers in the US who were of the working class.

For all intents and purposes, yes. We just don't write the A.
Also this is only "goal" in the sense of "scoring a goal". Any other meaning of goal is generally translated as "meta".
Which also translates as "finish".

Any more when I hear that sharp sticks comment, I think of this DLC for the terrible Colonial Marines video game, where you get a rail gun that fires exploding tungsten spikes. The name for it? S.H.A.R.P. sticks (sonic-harpoon artillery remote projectile)

I actually loved the multiplayer left 4 dead mode.  The game was broken overall though.

I...don't get it.

In one of the metroid sequels Samus has all her abilities and weapons from the previous games but is told by the leader of a team co-operating with her that she is not allowed to use them, just because.  Even though it would be adventitious to use the powers/abilities (and out right save some of the team members).  This is her putting him in her suit and giving him a taste of his own medicine.

More specifically in the situation, the officer who she needs permission from is an ex-lover and there is no real reason for her to listen to the guy. She's a bounty hunter, not a soldier under his command. It was just a reason to explain why Samus couldn't just use all the power ups she had from previous games from they very start, but they picked the stupidest and most misogynistic explanation for it. Also problematic in Other M is Samus spends way to much time expressing her feelings of inadequacy over not having a man in her life, when she's always been shown as a strongly independent woman. Basically they took one of the strongest feminist icons in gaming and did a 180 turn on her personality for that game.
