Every freaking time.
« on: 03 Mar 2015, 08:00 »

I know it's just my own brain being stupid, but every freaking time I bring up Google and type in "Alice Grove" to check the comic, my head goes: "Whoaaaahooo ALICE GROVE" and then this pops into my head.

EVERY.

TIME.

Ya know, there's these things called 'bookmarks' for webpages, they work just like in the real world: you put one on the webpage you're going to come back to and then you won't have to google for it any more. ;) Problem solved.

I just got the image of a midwife and a woman giving birth swinging towards each other on a trapeze - when they meet, the midwife pulls the baby out. The knife juggler is standing on the floor and cuts the umbilical cord with a a knifethrow.

You know, I used to worry that I was too old to be commenting on webcomic forums. I figured these places would be full of twentysomethings and I'd have nothing in common with 'em.

Bwahahahahaha.

One of our mods is in his mid-70s, and I'm a great grandfather; so being too old isn't a problem here.

Speak up, sonny.  Can't hear ya.   :-D

Just to mention also that if you start typing the name of the site into the url bar up there, it should autoload with the correct url since you've visited the site before.

Of course the most searched for term in google is actually google.  I seem to recall a press release saying that they had actually removed it from their top reported searches a long while ago. (I'd post a link to it but I can't find it right off except for a recent mention at a conference.)

I work for a webhosting company that caters to soccer moms.  We get stuff like this all the time.  I've actually had the cd tray as a cup holder question.

Broken cup holder issue? - Check
Accelerator pedal unresponsive? - Check
Keys in the wrong place? - Check
A truck ran over the local distribution box or the backhoe just dug up part of the cable? CSR asking to plug and unplug modem/router/etc - check
Blank screen and computer unresponsive? - check, check and still check in this day and age, like come on, where are they getting these people?  :psyduck:

A good pun is it's own reword.
There is a difference between spare parts, extra parts and left over parts.

The Venn diagram  for Common Sense and Good Sense has very little, if any, overlap.
