Well Monday's comic is up, and it's a buttchiatto.

As the Buttrocket Adventures continue, I can't help but notice that Buttrocket materialized from the macchiatto. What the fuck Dale. It was supposed to soar like an eagle.

That's *not* a macchiatto. Those only contain a dollop of foam atop espresso. No milk. Starbucks has really screwed with too many perceptions.

I went to check and see if a new comic was up yet, and thought I had pulled up Girls With Slingshots instead. It's nice to see Hazel and Jaimie one more time, even if they did get buttrocketed.

To me, all dark roasts taste burnt. Light or medium, please. If you want a touch of the burnt flavour, mix in some dark beans with light or medium to have at least a balanced profile. The best espresso I have had in the US was in a place that I used to work, where instead of the burnt stuff, they used a light-medium roast on the beans (closer to the medium end, but quite smooth, and could comfortably be sipped straight).

Um... Well, I was hoping for a new QC strip. Still, it's nice seeing a new strip for Girls With Slingshots after all this time. I've never mentioned this before, but I think that Hazel must have a heart of cold, hard stone not to have long since been wrapped around Goopy Kitty's adorable littlest finger!

Things have changed at Coffee of Doom since Faye left. I can't see them offering to do milk pictures under the Old Regime! Faye would have been more likely to give Jamie a permanent marker and a bit of card and told her to do it herself!

Normally I hate guest strips, particularly when they come in the middle of something big like these have been, but I am enjoying the Buttrocket Saga so much that I think I shall eternally consider it canon.

I think it is interesting to note that opinion on the Subreddit this morning is basically divided into two camps:

Firstly, there are those who seem to have got as fed up about the constant looping complaints about Claire as Jeph is and are now laughing about how even other comic artists are making fun of it too.

Secondly, there are those who are screaming 'foul' about Emily 'assaulting' someone for daring to express a contrary view. There are also a few moaning about Claire appearing even in guest strips.

Learn from that what you will.

Yeah, but that's not very good writing. The only drama left is if Faye will drink herself to death. Ted introduced drama by having a standard of right and wrong that differed from the rest of the cast. All that's left is a boring utopia.

Alice Grove, however, makes a much more dramatic story because Alice, Ardent, and Gavia each has their own ideas.

To the first question: 'Dord' is a word that was created by accident, when a guy writing a dictionary wrote that it meant density. He meant to say the word could be written with both a capital and lowercase letter while still being correct. It's a famous example of how English gets created: by total, cock-eyed fuck-ups.

No clue what Jeph was talking about.
