Another damn "favorite ______" thread.....

What's your favorite songs to put on when your just about to head out for a night on the town?

Mine: Jay-Z - 99 Problems, Mogwai Fear Satan, 2 Many DJ's - Dolly parton - 9 to 5, Dizzee Rascal - Fix Up Look Sharp, Soil - Halo.

Soil - Halo is a good one.

As emo as it is, I like Taking Back Sunday - You Know How I Do.

Bowling for Soup - Greatest Day.

Meh.

I also like Mercedes Benz - Janis Joplin for some reason.

Yeah, halo is the only song i know by soil, but they play it all the time in this shitty metal club in edinburgh so i associate it with drinking copious amounts of JD + coke and dancing like a twat.

Kasabian - Cutt Off
No one ever mentions Kasabian on these forums. They're cool and they're tearing up the UK right now like a poor kid with the last few inches of toilet paper.

Also,
Grandaddy - Now It's On
Muse - Butterflies and Hurricanes

The entire albums by Scissor Sisters or The Killers...

Incinerator by Halo is always good, as are Are You Gonna Be My Girl? and Cold Hard Bitch by Jet...

When I first started going out I used to get ready to Appetite for Destruction by G'n'R it really is a great getting ready kinda CD...

Other than that it's kinda whatever happens to be in my CD player...

Some :wumpscut: maybe...normally whatever I feel like. I take my mp3 player in the club normally as the only place I go to ever normally has crappy emo bands on. If I'm going to a concert I'll listen to some of whoever I'm gonna see to get me in the mood.

it depends on what i'm going out to do.  i mean, if i am going out clubbing then it's generally going to be whatever dance music i feel like playing at the time.  whatever gets my energy up.

if i'm going out to a show then i'll probably be playing the band's music and thinking "whoooaaaaa, i'm gonna be seeing these guys live soon, whhooooaaaaa" (or something along those lines).

other times, i'm pretty flexible.  like, if i'm just going up the shops or something i'm not sure it really matters.

Anything by the faint, felix da housecat or 2manyDJs -
My entire 1st year of uni was soundtracked by these albums, possibly because my entire time in was spent preparing to go out... now my money (and energy, and health) has all but gone, I listen to wallowing music.

If im just going out to the bar like always, I just listen to whatevers next on the play list.

But if I'm going out out, and actually have to dress up and smell nice and shave and what not, and it's something that isnt just going out to the bar..again...then I'll usually put on some really loud House music. More often then not it ends up being this incredible Daft Punk Essential Mix I have from a few new year's ago. If not that, then something that I can shake my ass too, and bounce around to. Something that will get my energy and excitememnt up.

If Im just going out to a show, I dont usually listen to anything special.

Any of the good New Order songs, especially Blue Monday, which it is impossible not to break into dance within listening range of. Or Felix Da Housecat.
