Y'know, I'm happier not knowing...

I envy your ability to know this and follow through.

I knew this, yet I looked it up anyway.

Actually not that scarring, tell the truth. I know of worse

Oh, indeed. I've heard much worse. I was all worried for nothing.

And today's strip made me laugh. That is so Hanners.  :-D

Having looked it up, I can see why Hanners might want to ask Marigold about brimping; she has longer hair.

Hanners is clever on an impressively meta level.  It's a damn good thing that she's not evil, 'cause she'd make for a horrifyingly effective supervillain.

"Drunken Notes to Future Self" are the Wurst ...
It is never weiss to write such notes to oneself, but Hanners has a knack for it. She grew up from being a brat on a space station, and now she thinks she needs to apologize to Faye in order to curry favor from her.

Uhmmmmmh, meta-cognition is kinda included in the standard OCD-package. It's not so much being clever as "being clever about being clever & hoping your other self won't figure you out"
It's a bit like "trying to look slightly past something", only mentally.

Hope it gets treated soon Jeph.  :-)

So, we now know that Marigold draws H-Doujinshi, either as a hobby or as a side to her running her dad's shop's online shopping portal.

I wonder if Dale knows that he is expected to be a Bishie?

[edit]
Just to add that I have just noticed Marigold's cute-mischievous 'kitty-cat smile'. All of the QC girls have their moments of adorable and that particular smile is Marigold's.

All anime guys do this thing where they touch their glasses like this, I don't know why.

At the risk of taking a joke too seriously, that's a difference of habit between North America and Japan.  In N.A., when our glasses are sliding down our noses, we tend to push them back up by the bridge, while the Japanese tend to push them back up by the side.

It's similar to what was shown in "Inglorious Basterds", when ordering three beers, we would hold up the first three fingers, while Europeans hold up the thumb and first TWO fingers.

Strange, it must be a manga thing so that the face is not obscured in the drawing because in the Anime series I have watched they push them up by the bridge, most likely for easier cell animation even though cells are computer rendered and then laser printed these days by most studios.

Here is the telling thing I have noticed though, if the character is any sort of jerk, or in the process of behaving like one in that scene, they use their middle finger, yet if they are not a bastard, will use three even though it looks weird.

That's actually more of a North American thing, though some Japanese artists may have incorporated it into their mangas because American mannerisms might be viewed as subtle ways of being rude in Japan.  I wouldn't know though, I've never read a manga.  And all the megane characters I've seen in animes never push the glasses up by the bridge, always either by the side or by grasping one stem and lifting the glasses back up teir nose.  One character even used the heel of his hand to do it because he wore Freddy Kreuger style gloves.

Odd. I think I've only ever seen glasses pushed up by the bridge of the nose in both manga and anime.

I present to you Exhibit A.

The majority are by the bridge.

Interestingly, the majority of adjustments by edge or arm hinge are female characters. This wouldn't be the first example I've seen of rigid gender bars on character behaviour/appearance.

Looking at the great internet time-wasting abyss TV Tropes, there's also a far greater number of examples for the bridge than the side.

There's also some reasoning on there on why it might be that female characters are more likely to use the hinges or arms - that they are being careful to take particular care with their eyewear, which may or may not be quite as prevalent in their male counterparts.

This is only a theory, however, and I'm not going to state anything concretely lest I be wrong.

I like snarky Marten. Isn't this backsliding for the Pugnacious Peach, though? It's been a long time since she hit him.

It seems Faye is destined to be violent for as long as is required for cheap laughs.

...I push my glasses up by the bottom of one lens.

And come on, Marten, what were you expecting there?

As a friend to many violent ladies, that's the joke. You make the comment about them being violent, and then they hit you, and it is what makes it funny; Jeph stole this comic from my high school lunch table

As as somewhat violent lady myself, I know.  (The only person I'm ever violent toward is my older brother.  I don't even raise my voice at students.  But this conversation has played itself out many times!)
