So. I'd heard of "Steven Universe" a while ago, and a lot of people were recommending it to me. But, I didn't like the art style, and I was very reluctant to try it out.

Then I saw an episode of "Needs More Gay" (it's a YouTube show) on "Steven Universe". And I was like, holy crap I need to check this out.

I've seen the first three seasons with my wife, by now. Holy crap, I am so sorry I did not see it sooner. Gotta be one of my favourite shows by now. In many, many ways. I even love the art style, because it actually works for the show, despite my earlier misgivings.

Not much constructive or interesting to say right now, just - holy crap!

I had the same thoughts about Adventure Time when it was first coming out. I kept seeing people praising it all over the place, but the art turned me away and it just looked like a kid's show to me. The depths of a lot of the storytelling really blew me away, and they very deftly handled long running subtext. Something Steven Universe has down as well. And the art style grew on me, going from 'over simplified' to 'charming'.

I don't think I know how to use the internet anymore, since it took me several minutes to find any sort of information on what's going on with Doug & Rob Walker's VLog series on SU. Which they stopped at Alone at Sea D;

Last verifiable information I could find is that, about mid-March, they did announce that they were looking to do a catch-up batch episode, just got busy with sickness and their many projects, etc. So that's nice.

(mostly I want them to cover Bismuth. And everything else off course)
