Now that actually brings up an interesting question; would Emily be able to see Sam and/or Al? We know that animals and children can, due to some ill-defined ability to see the world as it is, or something, that Emily would be a good candidate for having retained into what passes for adulthood these days.

My first guess might be that Emily should have gotten help fixiing her code that switched all output to Eldritch runes. However, Ziggy estimates the chances of that being so to less than 11.3%.

And Ziggy supports the idea by estimating the chances for "the thing that needs to be fixed in Emily's past life" not being part of QC canon - at least not yet - to be above 57.3%. This, of course, leaves open the chance for "the thing to be fixed" to have ramifications in her present life.
