I dunno. I get the feeling that Samuel L. Jackson in this will be less Avengers ass kicking, and more Deep Blue Sea chewed-in-the-middle-of-a-speech.

I like the Vietnam War era style of the movie.  It makes it more interesting than doing the 1920s again (or the 80s).

I dunno about making him THAT big.. Seems like it's done for the sole reason that they can have the crossover movie with Godzilla..

According to Alex Garcia, the producer for the film, Kong is going to be 100 feet tall.

And Legendary might have a problem on their hands because that means that Godzilla will be three and a half times taller than Kong (he's 350 feet tall in the 2014 film)... I guess Kong is going to have to climb the Empire State Building again just to stare back at Godzilla.

Funny thing, Shin Gojira has just been released in Japan and they had to make their Godzilla bigger than the Legendary Godzilla, by ten meters (Legendary's Godzilla was previously the largest Godzilla).

Basically this is happening:

So yeah.

"I can name an arbitrarily larger number than you!"

Also, judging by that hand print (?) on the cliff in the trailer, he was a lot larger than 100 feet.

Honestly, the only thing about this that interests me is Brie Larson. When it comes to Kong, the original is still the only one I've enjoyed.

I don't think the size difference will matter much, have you ever seen a monkey attack a human 3 times it's size? Those basterds are fast, and really strong.
And at 350ft, Godzilla will be slow to respond, plus Kong can throw stuff with a fair degree of accuracy.

A "buttload" is an actual measurement, next time someone tells you that they need a buttload of something, tell them 126 gallons might be a bit too much.

If something is three times as tall, it's actually around 27 times as big (in terms of volume/mass). I dont think there could possibly be any sort of interesting "fight" with such a size difference..
