So, what next in this gripping tale?

More Faye and Bubbles as they explore the varying definitions of "raccoon"
Just how many hijinks can Spookybot get into when they have seven bodies and more brewing in the tubes?
Just how many arms can Jeremy support before he topples over like a top-heavy pile of dishes?
Corpse Witch's adventures in custody whilst awaiting arraignment
Maybe we can learn more about that blonde who does the tea!
Just who are Faye's roommates anyway? Do they have a story too?
Other major characters? There are other characters?

Please take the poll with a liberal pinch of salt.

Seriously, I'm expecting one more week with Faye and Bubbles. Why? Because Jeph published a sketch of Faye seemingly in a formal blouse that doesn't seem to have been used yet. I'm expecting one more week of tidying up loose ends regarding the skate park before he moves on to other things.

Only if its a burlap sack with a dollar sign printed on the side.

Now that Faye and Bubbles have access to a number of spare parts, my guess is we're finally going to get the long-awaited QC retelling of Frankenstein, the Modern Prometheus! CUE THE LIGHTNING!

Don't forget the Burlap Sacks for the cash there Faye.   ;)

Looking at this, I suspect BenRG is right and we probably have one more week of this Story Arc left in order to clear up the loose ends for Faye, Bubbles, Jeremyand the others.

I think that this incident, and the meeting with Officer Basilisk is reminding us Faye and Bubbles' world is taking a new shape that Spookybot has decreed (and that name is now canon unless they have a name that they prefer to use that is revealed later on). I'm wondering how long it will take Faye to start questioning just how much freedom of movement Bubbles and she have given that this sorta-god-AI is occasionally adjusting the scenery.

Meanwhile, I notice that Bubbles intends to put the skate park behind her. This sort of surprised me, I suppose. I was expecting that maybe she'd move back in now Corpse Witch was gone and use it as a base to try to set out to build a new life. Maybe she's decided that a clean break is best. Maybe Jeph prefers the idea of having the 'odd couple' based in the same apartment!

Just a P.S.: My mental 'voice' for Jeremy is Anthony Daniels for some reason and, whenever he makes a sudden movement, there is a clear electro-mechanical whirring noise.

...wait, if Jeremy was just a head on wheels, what did he actually DO for CW?

I'm not sure if he even did do anything around her except be an unspeaking sounding board for her ideas and remarks. We need to know more about his history to be sure but I'm wondering if he was a bit of 'legacy machinery' that wasn't really being used anymore in her operation, if he was ever actually part of it.

If he was... Hmm... Maybe that eye is ultra-HD and she had him take her blackmail photographs of people who attended the fights?

As a person who has had some experience with industrial robots, what Jeph called "limb" and "head", is usually referred as "tool". A device named tool changer is a pretty standard item in robotic work cells, so Jeremy could swap his head for an actuator or welding torch when working.

Corpse Witch might have been partial to the classics.  Of course this whole setup seems unusual.  Considering her programming skills you'd think she'd be in some other line of illegal work, but maybe she got bored with it and preferred illegal gambling.

If Jeremy has a sack full of cash, wouldn't buying a new chassis be simpler and more efficient? Not doubting that Bubbles and Faye can manage it (and have a lot of fun while upgrading Jeremy), but ...

Including the title and postscript, this comic has three lampshades around the fact that it's an enormously helpful coincidence that he happens to have all the resources needed to do what the story needs to happen. I'm all in favor of an inside joke here or there, but this is reaching critical mass.

Perhaps Jeremy is planning to become like a spider. Spiders have walking legs, pedipalps (modified legs which serve as antennae), and breathing legs, yielding a total of at least 16 legs. Think about how much more mobile he would become if he added that many specialized legs. And then he could even further, and add the eight or so eyes that jumping spiders have!

He does have a bag full of money, after all...

But it wouldn't be as visually comedic and potentially funny to write as a body made up of random and mismatched bits bolted together in a random order to satisfy the random whims of a self-aware robot assembly arm with a dodgy conception of aesthetics. Come on, I can't be the only bloke who used to prize apart his ancient Star Wars action figures (you know, the 4" vinyl cast ones with only fixed-plane articulation of the neck, hips and shoulders that couldn't seriously be called 'poseable') and put the bits back together in a mismatched way. Don't tell me you didn't slap Princess Leia's head on top of a Storm Trooper's torso with an arm or a leg each from a random other toy! I hope that you enjoy having one Wookie and one Isthorian arm, Your Worshipfulness!

Anyway, I digress. The point that I'm making is that, by the end of this week, Jeremy is going to look like one of those, just with a lot more and alarmingly specialised limbs to the point where Professor von Frankenstein will certainly be around to collect Bubbles' dues for the Most Ancient and Worshipful Society of Body Horror Sculptors.

I think Jeremy is happy with the body he's in, but just wants the extra arm or two to aid in running the place now that hes the owner.  And yes, I would say that his main role around the place was to serve as the Camera for the Live Streaming of the fights.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's less about needing Bubbles and Faye to do it for him and more that he wants to help Bubbles and Faye, and this is the best way to do that without making them feel like they owe him. This way they aren't unemployed, Jeremy gets to hang out with his friends, and nobody has to do anything unethical. Jeremy's a great person.

Yeah, I give up on the idea of a trip to a chassis shop. May be having a somewhat .... words fail me... Igorian look with an unlikely collection of somewhat mismatched body parts will add to Jeremy's street cred. And also add to the popularity of the show that must go on.

Ever since the "I'll get 3 limbs", it's been John Cleese.
Though, if we're going Monty Python's Flying Circus actors, Eric Idle or Terry Gilliam would probably make more sense.

As for what Jeremy might look like...

Imagine a robotic version of this, but with his current head and body and hands on the limbs.

Maybe she's a Hannerclone that didn't exactly come out right in the height department, but is improved in the dealing with stuff like dog hair department.

Hey time traveling Hannelore from five years in the future who is able to own dogs.

She (and the corgi) look much more realistic than the other characters:
perhaps based on an actual friend of Jeph's?

Hmm...

Brun, I know this is an odd question but run with me here. Have you recently run into a redheaded woman named 'Claire' by any chance? Did she give you some suggestions about how to be more socially at ease and approachable? I'm just wondering.

Seriously, this is really odd; Brun is OOC from what we've seen before. I'm wondering if this is the first time that anyone has laughed at a joke Brun told (remembering that she might not be necessarily fully aware of what's funny) and she liked it. She liked being the cause of a positive reaction of some sort and now she wants another hit, quite badly. Someone needs to tell her that you should only read a joke book one page at a time or you'll get all burned out.

I was thinking Jane Lynch, myself.

Anyway, assuming that we are now onto Jeph's promised 'catch-up one-shots' section, what do we learn here? To me, three key things, all of which will definitely affect The Secret Bakery group of characters in one or another:]
  • Brun seems to have got a job at tSB; I can't see Jim tolerating her 'just hanging around' and disrupting the business;
  • The power of long contact has left Elliott considerably more at ease with Brun;
  • Brun is still living with Renee and I'm still wondering how long Renee will be able to handle it before she politely asks Brun to find somewhere else to live.
Any of these things could be the jumping-off point for a future arc. For example: Brun the baby-sitter?

Brun baby-sitting ... Samantha? What could possibly go wrong? Other than from the point of view of harpooned snakes and toads.

Jeph is doggedly pursuing the trail of puns. He shepherded a good number of them into this strip. Let's just hope nobody gets catty on that day, or it will be raining blows in the Secret Bakery. Raining cats and dogs, of course...

Probably no true, but my version of this is a trolling comic "Sick of the uber-AI of all power? Look how much worse a comic can be".
