QC Characters in real life
« on: 17 Oct 2016, 06:45 »

This topic was inspired by my own experience yesterday. Recently I got a job in the copy & print department in Office Depot (tech/supply retailer) and the woman training me reminds me of Faye for whatever reason. Similar look, voice is close to how I thought Faye sounded in my head, with a pretty sarcastic/filterless attitude in her words.

Have any of you met QC character lookalikes or people who act like them?

Knew a couple Hannelores, though I couldn't testify to the OCD aspect. But: Slight of build, smart as hell, squeaky voice, painfully deferential, slow to anger but you don't wanna be in the room when the needle finally redlines ...

And judging by the six years I;ve been following this forum, everyone knows a Faye and half of them hate her.

Actually there's a certain amount of overlap between those two groups.

I am pretty much an older version of Marten who took a long time to figure out some of my goals in life and how to work towards them, and am still to some degree trying to figure out who I want to be when I grow up. Minus all the indie references, though, and with a double bass instead of a guitar.

AMA

(If you're now thinking that this explains why I occasionally go into bat for Marten, then you are probably right)

My significant other is basically Marigold (I'm so lucky!) and her best friend is basically Raven.
