The way I read http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=3312 was that Corpse Witch's establishment was barely even a crime, so the "bigger fish to fry" sounded like a reference to richer and more powerful villains than CW.
If that's the case then Corpse Witch may get some witness relocation deal and possibly reappear again albeit in a different chassis.
So a delivery drone for amazon?

No wait - That would be an almost dream job for someone else but without the H.E. payload unless it was Burt's Butt Burner Baked Brown Beans

A good pun is it's own reword.
There is a difference between spare parts, extra parts and left over parts.

The Venn diagram  for Common Sense and Good Sense has very little, if any, overlap.

Is it cold in here?

Witness protection ...

Imagine being caught between Mob bosses who don't want you to confess on the one hand, and Eminence Grise on the other hand.

I didn't say influence. I said connections. As in knowing who to pay off to make sure they don't get raided.
Influence, "connections," same-same.  If CW had any influence, or pull, or connections, Roko Racoon would have been steering clear of the place.  Her implications that she had connections are no more reliable than her assurances to Bubbles that her memories were still there to be unlocked.  She's a proven liar.

Officer Basilisk may well have been the only clean cop who pressed on with investigations in spite of being instructed to drop them. Which would also explain why she never had backup.

Obviously CW's claim to have connections could have been BS. But it could also have simply been overstated (e.g. she just bribed a cop to go away once or twice, and she somewhat grandiosely refers to them as "connections').

Connections and influence really aren't the same. Influence means she could force an issue if she needed to. She had dirt on a cop or is holding someone over them. Connections  just means she knows one or more cops who is amenable to looking the other way. Though if she was bribing cops she would have some influence over them, because if she went down she could finger the dirty cop, so it's in their best interest to keep CW out of jail.

But think of the irony.  Someone who wants to go to prison because it's safer there and yet cannot because the government is so pleased with the information they give her a deal regardless.  And don't forget Spookybot told her to cooperate so she would be following orders.

Of course there is also my elaborate theory that a super secret organization already took custody of her so they collect information on  Spookybot.
