Oh crikey, I'm even more of a geek than I thought I was. I've read critiques of Asimov and of course weak and strong anthropic principles, but was disappointed to realise the references Clinton made were to works not written in this universe.

Whereas I was wondering, and came here to ask, whether any of those names are actual researchers in the field.  (Not really being up on current developments, though I did recognize prior refs like Officer Basilisk.)

If the government doesn't trust the people, why doesn't it just dissolve them and elect a new people?
Getting that much hydrofluoric acid would be expensive, and the military needs that money for defense.

A recent international conference in AI was held in Iskenderun, Turkey. That's the only reference I got in the names.

It gets really spoopy if you start look at scuttled CIA and FBI projects for monitoring the citizenry.

We don't get often a Bertold Brecht quote in those forums...

Dividing seems to be as effective as dissolving.
