Help me with video problems.
« on: 05 Feb 2005, 07:49 »

this is the first part of the problem, i happens twice before....

that happens

so yeah, the first time i played, it happened, then i tried again, happened again, another try and i got 5 hours of play
theni woke up played 2 more hours
took a break
came back (restarted wow) and got the problems again.

this happens with WoW and WC3 only, but it dont think its blizzard specific, i think its becuase these are the most graphically intense games i play.
maybe?

yes, i have the latest drives for my videocard, and yes i uninstalled the old ones before installing the new ones.

i think i have latest version of directx, but im not sure.
help PLEASSEE :)

Since you already did the driver thing, I'm thinking it could be memory leaks.  This happens to me alot.  What kind of card do you have and how much memory megs. does it have?  How much RAM do you have?

Try turning down settings when you play and see if it lasts longer.
Try and kill every single program running while you play.

Just experiment.

If none of these work, try the driver thing again, but start from scratch.  That guide fixed the exact same problem for me.

That's why- WoW is pretty tough for older cards to handle.

I run it in 1024x768 on a 9700 pro and it can still get a little glitchy on occasion.
