Socially appropriate greeting
« on: 14 Apr 2019, 15:45 »

So, just finished binging the entire QC in about a week.  Absolutely loving where everything is going so far.

My favorite characters so far:
Marigold (reminds me of me quite a bit)
Hanners
May (also see a bit of myself here)
Claire (similar to, but not quite like, me in one very important way)

Discovered this a couple years back when the kickstarter for book 6 was up, but just got around to reading it last week.

It was so cool seeing the development of this from a quirky little indie music themed comic to what it is now.  Just the way it handles so many deep issues but still manages to keep that overall light, happy vibe.

So about me a bit.

Name: Mike / Marigold (see gender)
Age: 38
Gender: Fluid
Locaton: South Carolina, USA

Been slowly coming to terms with my fluid status over the past few years.  I still almost always present male (okay, always IRL - mostly because makeup and hair removal are a lot of work and I'm lazy).   Thanks to QC I did finally come up with a name for my rarely manifested femme self - seeing so much of myself in Marigold, and with my penchant for 80s music - Marigold Skye (named after the Hall & Oates album - one of the first concerts I went to was their tour for that album.  Yes I'm aware that one came out in the 90s).

Anyhow, looking forward to seeing this strip continue to grow and evolve.

Welcome!

We don't currently have a discussion for genderfluid people but I know you're not the only one here.

Welcome, Marigold!

'Marigold' being your username I would generally default to that, but given you're stated as fluid, I'm not sure if that's what you want?

Welcome to the clubhouse, though. Don't sit on the couch. Definitely don't sit on the couch. I did awful things to the couch, it was a different time in the forum's history.

As a side note, this is one of the more intriguing introduction posts any of our members have made, hope you stick around to chat.

Don't get me wrong, I mean this the funniest way possible: a genderfluid guy calling themselves Marigold makes me think of Faye's Mar-Bear in a different way - a quite bearded not too small person.

Marigold is good.  Since I usually don't get to manifest that side much/at all in meatspace.

I'll try to chime in on things now and again.  I'm usually kinda quiet, tho...

Lol.  I kinda fit the "bear" look, though I'm not into guys.
