Someone suggested that we resurrect this game.
I really don't know why it was dropped.
Maybe because the main instigator got tired?

The game itself is quite simple.
The thread starts with a post like this and attached image with the text bubbles blank and you fine creative posters supply the missing dialogue.

So we start with
Professionalism

EDIT: That date code was bugging me to no end - changed it to Standard Format

A good pun is it's own reword.
There is a difference between spare parts, extra parts and left over parts.

The Venn diagram  for Common Sense and Good Sense has very little, if any, overlap.

"I appreciate your concern, but my chassis features static protection that outstrips most conventional lightning rods.  I am suitably grounded."

"Bells and whistles aside, I'd still be uncomfortable wielding high-voltage equipment near active electronics this sensitive"

"My teacher says with enough patience and practice, even I can become suitably grounded!"

"I...don't think that's the kind of grounded they're talking about..."

Alternatively:

"Butts."

"Butts?"

"BUTTS!"

"...butts?"

Bubbles: "I'm still uncertain as to how this got in there. So I will not make any judgement."
Faye: "Don't look at me. I don't know how it got there either. No judging from me either, Millie."
Sam: "I've heard stories about humans having weird stuff pulled from their butts too! Always watch where you're sitting and make sure the doctor didn't leave anything in you when they're done!"
Millie: "I honestly don't know how it got there either. Thank you for not judging me."

EDIT: screw it, i'm pulling the covers back.

Alternatively:

"Butts." (etc)

Yep, Jeph knows his audience.

What we need is an inverse captions thread where everyone supplies their suggested comic that works with all dialogue replaced by the single word, "Butts." Punctuation varying.

Bubbles: And so, we are reduced to using a hot knife as a thermal decoupler.
Faye: I already said I was sorry for bridging the fuses.
Sam: Never mind that, they're always like this. Friendly banner, is all.
Millefeuille: ... Banter ... Right ...

BUBBLES: "This is a dangerous and precise tool. Do not use it to remove mucus from your nostrils."

FAYE: "You know, I'm glad that I've got you around to tell me this stuff Bubbles. I mean, yeah, I might have done something like that once but I'm learning now!"

SAM: "You'd never believe it but this is actually them flirting! Isn't it wonderful  that you're under the care of two people who are so focussed on each other when the slightest error could lead to your horrible, permanent disfigurement?"

MILLIFEULLE: "Ask them to focus on me, please!"

Bubbles: This is a dangerous implement - it could wreck her entire posterior area if used incorrectly.
Faye: Really, I have used one multiple times.  Now just give me the damned thing so I can do her left cheek.
Millie: Are they always like this?
Sam:  Yes.  That's why I'm here - to raise the level of professionalism.

I literally just posted this about "Sven is not a mooch."

To be honest, if it replaces spathe ham, I am okay with it.

Who the heck am I kidding?  :psyduck:

By the way, the old thread was known as QC Captions Vol. ###. We were up to 414 if search results are to be believed.

Actually, #417 was the last one I found, so this should be #418
