Happy friggin' NewYear!

Had the idea of May with a Stygimoloch spinifer altmode as I was drowsing off to sleep and couldn't get to sleep for another 45 minutes because it was way funnier than it should have been.

Yes, I am aware that it's now widely thought that Stygimoloch is a younger specimen of Pachycephelosaurus wyomingensis. Have they figured out whether it's sexual dimorphism or just looking drastically different from the adults yet? My search results for that were all 7 or more years out of date.

EDIT: typo fix

So… is this a skit they’re doing or just how they normally are? Is there any way to actually tell?

No, I think that this is generally how Arthur and Melon act. Their connection with observational reality is so weak that the dividing line between 'play' and 'acting out delusions' is non-existent. As for Lemon? Well, maybe she's being serious in being part of  this delusion or maybe, as a trained psychotherapist, she's instigated a role-play to see how it works out.

The obvious sequel is how Melon handles her 'resurrection'.

The region is based on Brittain/UK.
Frequently encountered adult NPC, psuedorival/friend who's a bit dim and tags along the entire plot.
Your character also has a rival rival who's a snobby douche.

New Comic Up!
Well, it looks like Millifueille has made the full transition to being at least a secondary character. I'm sort of wondering if she's waiting for her friend to pick her up or if she's just enjoying hanging out with Dora and Tai too much to leave? Either way, I suspect that she has a soft spot for Jones, given that she thinks that Faye and Bubbles are a wonderful example of romance!

Given that she is into tha stuff, i wonder if she has she been reading hentai Andromeda fan-fictions? Or is she a fan of Anne McCaffery's The Ship Who Searched?

I notice that Milli didn't mention Faye and Bubbles' strange little intern? Is it an academic mindset that summer interns are automatically beneath notice or does she like children so much that she doesn't want to talk about this experience with one?

When would she have? She mentioned the place, Tai reacted with familiarity and specifically mentioned the proprietors, she was then asked a specific question about one, expanded it to cover the other, then got sidetracked by the news about Faye and Bubbles’s relationship. If there was a point to insert a line about their spray artist/assistant, it was then but Tai interrupted her and, apparently, romance is IRQ 0 for Millefeuille (very much like some other girls I’ve known).

Synthetic bodies close enough to ours to activate that set of instincts are a recent development. Before that, it would only have been a possibility for organics who can see past how others are embodied to who they are.

There's probably been a kinky/curious element all along but Milly may be delighted by seeing a relationship of love and commitment.

I'm sure Millie has Jones in mind.  But if she's going to land him, she'll have to figure out how to hook him mentally:  true academics are seldom driven strictly by their hormones.  The fact that he stuck around to keep her out of serious trouble while in drunk mode suggests he's at least a little concerned for her and does not just view her as only a fleshlight.

I expect he'll show up shortly in any case, which could drive Millie back to embarrassingly mute again.  This could become a fine meet-cute.

Sorry for the double post, but if the cast were all talking animals (like Mouseguard, Redwall, Moss, etc), it'd be hilarious if Martin were a stoat instead of a pine marten. Granted, I can see Hanners being a stoat instead.

Would Bubbles be a robo-badger (probably T. taxa or M. meles)?
Which brings up the additional question of what continent's species the rest of the AInimals would be based on?

EDIT: Guess it's not a double post after all. Additional thoughts added.

Ouch. The one thing that Marten couldn't afford to forget and he's forgotten it! I'm sure someone will remind him but I suspect that the reminder will be a bit on the late side and lead to Marten Reed's Wedding Preparation Race and this, in turn will lead to some... unique... time-saving measures. Oddly enough, I think that Dora may enjoy the unconventional nature of it all. Unfortunatley, the same may not be said of Taizilla!

For some reason, I can see lots of people at the Church wearing colourful sashes with "Tai's #1 Pick" for various roles!

Can't say I know how Marten feels, or Faye for that matter.  I seem to be one of those lucky few who doesn't get hangovers.  At worst, I get a little groggy for a couple of days, but that could be just as much from the "staying up all night" part of staying up all night drinking, as well as from the "getting older" part of getting older.

Why would a bong in the colours of the trans flag have "FUCK DERE" on it? It has nothing to do with anything.

Plus, I'm pretty sure the first letter of the second word is "T", and there's clearly a fifth letter in it. "FUCK TERFS" it is.

Considering how EASY online sales are, I'm not surprised really.

'Best Sidewalk' responds that it is sadly unable to attend, but appoints the walk in front of the wedding venue to be it's proxy.

I'm just surprised it wasn't Cosette who drunk-bought a boat.

Drunk buying a boat: I hope it's at least one that is a commercially viable fishing vessel instead of a pleasure craft he'll never use...hey, it could happen!

As for hangovers: it's probably the only good thing that I can think of that my aversion to drugs and irrational response to drinking gives me.

Sounds perfectly rational to me.

The strip has an interesting name, doesn't it: "Lonely Island"! I'm thinking that's where Jeph is suggesting that Steve go to hide from Cosette because something tells me that he couldn't afford the boat that he has just drunk-bought! Of course, I might be pessimistic here. Maybe he can afford it and the two of them are going on a mad Uncharted-style adventure for the next five or six years of their lives?

On the subject of the rest of the strip, I think that this is where Martin finds out for the second time that he's Tai's best man and has a wedding to help organise. Fortunately, he will find this out through Claire and something tells me that she brings a more organised mindset to the whole matter of... well, organising something!

So, what does everyone think of Millifeuille? Will she remain just a semi-background 'pal' or will her arc gradually become a foreground thing the way May and Roko's has?
