QC Captions Volume #455 (2020 Sep01-05)
« on: 02 Sep 2020, 13:21 »

Another week of shenanigans mixed with social commentary.
So what are our effusive cyber-pals up to today?

This is also the first one I think that had all rectilinear text boxes.

Now whose line is it anyways?

I was so tempted to extend the right side of the frame but self control and laziness won over in the end ... heh heh heh

A good pun is it's own reword.
There is a difference between spare parts, extra parts and left over parts.

The Venn diagram  for Common Sense and Good Sense has very little, if any, overlap.

BEEPS: "The honest feelings! It gets you in the coolant pumps!"

CONTRAST: "Yes! Feel it! Show me your most heartfelt emoji!"

MAY: "I say something that is slightly self-aware and heartfelt and they go to pieces. How do they handle serious pathos?"

ROKO: "Best not to speculate on that mess; it can't be pretty."

Beeps: What is happening I don't have tear ducts. HELP!!!

Contrast: Oh must be a loose cooling fitting right here in the back, don't worry thats normal. Got it!

May: What, normal! Fuck! I thought newer bodies were more durable.  I was right its a scam. Its a pyramid membership scheme with recruit a friend perks and a 2 year planned obsolescence before they stop giving us security patches...

Roko: ...it could be worse, have you seen what humans have to deal with to just get a mobile phone carrier plan now!!!

Beeps: oh my Turing, I never I imagined...
Contrast: that when I said it'd go to a good home, I'd take it myself?
May: does that happen with everyone who meets their first chassis? I'm glad this is a junker.
Roko: well, mine was junked, so I wouldn't know.

Buy yours while supplies last:
a new as peachy chassis.
You deserve modern luxury.
Beepatrice: "I love these new tear ducts so much it makes me cry."
Ana: "I love helping new friends literally™ let themselves express their feelings."
May: "If I start acting like that, put me back into this piece of junk."
Roko: "You know, you might actually like your new chassis."

"Oh dear long lost sister! I thought I'd lost you to those genetically engineered Allosauri!"
"No my dear long lost sibling! It was I who thought I lost you to the Generalisimo's giant ambulatory can opener!"
"Figures the universe would find a way to upstage my day."
"I'm pretty sure Allosauri isn't even a word."

🤔
Wouldn't it just be "allosaurs"?

I know "Allosaurids" would refer to multiple species of the family Allosauridae without using the specific epithet. Granted, you'd just be refering to Allosaurus and Saurophaganax.

Fun dino fact: While T. rex most likely had some feathers, Allosaurus did not and was in fact scaley. Which would have been a much better way for JW:FK to distinguish the two apart from size and slapping an in  accurate horn on their "Alllosaurus's" snoot.
