No poll, sorry. I went back to work today and that is taking up a fair chunk of my headspace.

Did that about 4 years ago now.  Be aware, you will likely tend to yaw to one side.  And pushing off with that foot will have to be relearning to an extent

It's kind of strange to have Faye helping Bubbles make the choice that they both knows is right. I guess this shows that this is a genuinely balanced relationship!

Since you brought it up, even if it's off topic for the thread - could you please point to the part of the discussion you felt was nasty? I am genuinely asking.

EDIT: and ideally, explain what specifically you think crossed a line, since I'm rereading the thread and I don't think anything particularly hostile or confrontational there, not really.

Not nasty, as far as I could tell, but my impression is that the replies to snubnose were of the sort of “we’ve hashed this out already”, and I could see how coming into the thread later would not be the most comfortable feeling.

For comic #4697...

Some great points with this comic (4697)...

1. Emmett Opening Up - Excellent depiction by action, showing Emmett brushing back her hair and removing her hood, to show she is beginning to relax and open up.

2. Dented Head Joe - Emmett's anecdote and "grasp of the practicalities of the situation" probably means Emmett's dad's buddy is a robot (humanoid Anthro PC) as well.

'They/them' pronouns for Emmett, at the moment. That's how Sam refers to them anyway :)

Emmett's emerging from the hoodie, that's cute. She may not believe it, but Bubbles is quite good at this...

I think that Sam always knew that all Emmett needed to come out of their shell was someone who would not act as if they were a freak for how they think and how they view the rest of the universe. I strongly empathise with that because 'being like other humans' has always been a struggle for me.

I believe Bubbles could bench press a Vickers 6-ton. (Widely popular during the late 30s and served as the basis for many later designs.)

... Also, is that a Genshin joke I spy? (I mean, it could be mortal combat, but Ei has a big super-deadly bladed polearm, and the mortal combat character does not)

"I bet I can stand up to a single full-force blow from the grass-cutting lightning sword" does seem like a...poor choice of bets.

But any thoughs on what actually cut the bot in half -other- than Bubbles?

Because it could totally have been Bubbles.  Or factory equipment.  Or Bubbles holding factory equipment.

So, not a display piece, rather a leftover for parts. Interesting. Reminds me of my little (not so little) pile of dead equipment for parts in my projects. Sometimes it pays off.

Last we heard of their finances (when Faye was thinking of hiring May) they were still struggling. Sam brought in more money with her sprays than Faye and Bubbles did with their regular work.

For some reason, I've got a feeling that's Punchbot's first chassis, the one before acquired his fighting body. A wager that ends in a hemicorporectomy sounds like his kind of error.

I don't remember seeing old pictures of him. Hannelore could have inherited it from her mom (or is it recessive like blue eyes?).

And we see in 4699 that Dented Head Joe is not included among the three that Emmett listed, so Joe is a Human. (Unless, I suppose, that Joe doesn't reside in Emmett's home town).
