Yes.  At least at one point, he demanded that Marigold explain Steampunk, which is just what happens when goths discover the colour brown.

..... Thank you, good to know which high school click I technically belonged to.

EDIT: typo fixes.

Hey, Dad's back!  Now we may finally discover what his problem with the concept of Steampunk was, 'way back then... (Never did understand that particular episode)

Does this issue of the comic feel "soft" to anybody else? Just a bit more blurry and less sharp than usual? Tried just viewing the image file itself, and didn't help.

Has May’s new body always been that ripped? This muscle definition seems new…

It seems the same as usual to me.

I was thinking the same thing and came here specifically to see if anyone else had the same observation.

We haven't seen May in that kind of pose before.  As someone similarly sized to Bubbles, I'd think she should be similarly myomered (can that be a word like muscled?).  May's waist does seem a bit undersized in this view, but then this body wasn't designed for wreaking havoc.

Yeah looking at it on my desktop I see the blur around the text, especially in the top panels its more noticable.

Not necessarily the same in muscle/myomer mass. At least not in terms of humans at any rate. May's new body seems to have a midsized frame (usually) whereas Bubbles has a large frame. And for those confused by the terminology, frame size usually refers to the width of one's skeletal build. 'Stocky' refers to us short folk[1] with a large frame size[2][3].

[1] Typically around 5'5" (165cm) or 5'6" (167½ cm) and under.
[2] Yes, I'm aware of the euphemistic use of it to mean 'pudgy' instead. While the two are not mutually exclusive (indicates self), the two aren't the same thing either.
[3] I wear a 2XL for my shoulders alone and it's always amusing to see who I outweigh. I'm 222 lbs (100.7 kg) last I checked.

Hmm… Do you ever get the urge to quaff copious amounts of beer and sing about gold?  (sadly, my ancestry seems to be more orcish)

You're lucky - I'm 188cm (6ft 2in) with a build like Gollum...  :-P

Root beer, yes. Regular beer no.  :-P

Well, yes and no.

It's great for taking hits[1], but clothes shopping is a pain. While there may be big-and-tall stores, nothing like that exists for short and stocky. Everything is usually at least two sizes too long if it fits widthwise. Though, one of my coworkers is about the same height as me but he's petite, so he can completely hide behind me if we go back to back[2]. Which is hilarious for pranking other coworkers with a jumpscare.

[1] Speaking as someone who's been hit by multiple cars as a pedestrian and a bicyclist without breaking any bones. Thankfully at intersections with stops for all but one instance. Please don't talk on the phone or text while driving, BTW. That was 3 of those times.

EDIT: truncating clothes shopping complaints
EDIT: [2] My forearms are as big around as his leg-calves.

As long as you're singing about gold, and there is the proper amount of spillage, I think that works.

Quaffing, after all, is just like drinking, only you spill more.
