I'll start.
Go back to the middle or high Medieval period and create a punk jacket with all of the spikes and studs[1] just to mess with the brigandine armor fanclub/pendants. I'd make sure it was well preserved in oil or amber, but not too easy to find.
[With period appropriate fastners en lieu of zippers.]
EDIT: Apparently the studded leather armor in D&D and Pathfinder is widely considered a misinterpretation of brigandine armor by medieval enthusiasts.
