Only half-learned 'cos it was the drum solo from YYZ, which is hella complicated on guitar!

2112, since that's the only Rush song I know :D

An update on UR - they're not doing terribly well, it seems :(

I wonder  what it'd be like for a trombonist?

We already know what Sephiroth's theme sounds like on it thanks to Trombone Champ.

Better be.   :-D :angel: :roll:

Red Barchetta - 3:20-3:45 or Time Stand Still - 3:15-3:50.  Of course, there are no easy Rush songs, so even 15 seconds worth might well take the whole day.  Who knows how long it took Alex to come up with those in the first place.

That seems like a recipe for (relationship) disaster given their rather dissimilar proclivities towards work.

Not to mention that a superior-direct report work relationship is tough to do for even the best couples. I suppose Marten could report to somebody else while being Claire's admin assistant, but there would still be a potentially awkward power dynamic given their respective positions.

And this is just ignoring the risk of both working for a potentially volatile employer (in terms of finances/employment I mean). Sure, many couples both work at the same employer without any issues, but still....

Yeah, Marten working for Claire would probably summon the end of their relationship.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing but I could also see the convos from that possibility being really interesting.

Having worked with my wife on the same team (no reporting relationship), there's another unobvious wrinkle people run into: as soon as the couple has a disagreement about something work related, everyone around them assumes they are having a domestic argument.  This leads to all kinds of weirdness with your non-spouse coworkers.  Of course, if you expect it and are of the right temperament, you can use this to your advantage or much hilarity or both.

Yes, Jeph, your readers would possibly pay to see the four of them dealing with their anxiety about leaving each other all together. This makes it odder that you're lampshading it instead of doing it.

Bubbles is indeed adorable. She's obviously grown her hair out (or the robo-equivalent) considerably since her last appearance. And now I can't stop imagining her playing roller derby...

Aside from power dynamics, an issue of dating co-workers can be time off.  When we started dating, our boss got all flustered that we would be taking the same vacations and he would be understaffed.  Though pointed out to him that we had often been gone the same times before, just not to the same destinations then :}

Wondering about the fate of Marten and Claire -
Written out of QC? (Definitely not QC ending, I remember Jeph torpedoed that idea)
New spin-off comic?
All a false alarm, they come scuttling back in a couple of weeks?

Any other options?

(Maybe this should be next week's poll?)

Two or three weeks of wacky adventures before Emily or Raven end up getting the job one way or another.  They're both long overdue for a reappearance.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone from the past turns up.

There are Transformers fans that probably disagree. I know more recent iterations of Overlord have been quite 'popular' in some circles.
[Full disclaimer, I'm not one of them. I only understand the aesthetic side of it.]

"If they move away I'm gonna be that much more dependent on you for stability"??? Codependent much, Faye?? If anyone said that to me I'd run for the hills. Is she joking? Quick poll: Who thinks Faye is serious with this comment, who thinks she's joking?

I think she's joking, but also that it's pretty much true.

Sometimes the jokes we make contain truths we might not be comfortable facing yet, at least when we can’t plausibly laugh it off and pretend.

Well, yeah.  If your local social circle shrinks, more of it's functionality will fall on the remaining members.  Not that the new ratios have to be a permanent.  Individuals develop more self-resiliency, new members can fill the gaps in time that were spent with those no longer here.  Could learn how to get more out of long-distance relationships, now that someone so emotionally close is more physically distant.  ---  Who am I kidding, I would be a wreck for a while :{

Meanwhile, perhaps Bubbles could be very sexy in treads on occasion!  Sensible during winter too :}

Actually, I've read recently that all kinds of sex toys are allowed on planes (looking up for a friend). But perhaps it depends on the type of whip. Cuffs would be ok.

I think that Marten has been waiting for Veronica to have this day of reckoning for a very long time. Possibly ever since he, as a toddler, was photographed playing with a dildo.

I am sure Sam is old enough now to have a good idea what Veronica does/did and what the stuff in that suitcase is for. Marten on the other hand was exposed to the stuff 24/7. How he didn't end up irreversibly damaged I have no idea.
