My friend once said of the Blood Brothers' live show: "This is what I imagine a little kid's temper tantrum would sound like if little kids knew how to play musical instruments."

I pretty much agree to this. The Blood Brothers are one of the best live acts I've ever seen. It's a spectacle to say the least. And yeah, I would say both of their voices sound very similar to the recordings...which is partly why its so amazing. The fact that they can recreate those sounds pretty much at will is incredible.

They were. Alright. On their best songs, they melded amazing melodies with incredible screaming. Mostly though, it was just screaming with no real art to it. The Bassist was tight though. And the Maracas

Blood Bros are indeed ace live, tons of energy and lots of spazztic dancing. But as both times i've seen 'em was at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham, it was full of pretentious scenesters, meaning that rather than join in with the dancing, they just stood there looking 'cool and critical'.

I'm going to see them at the Cockpit in Leeds in March, it's actually two days after the end of term but I'm going to see if I can stay longer just for it. Oh boy, it's going to be crazy.

It's nowhere near as bad as the Charlotte in Leicester, where I normally live

Someone I work withs Dad runs the Charlotte! - note: not really relevant.

And it really is.

Then again, the worst venue EVER is Rock City in Nottingham, I was in there when the ceiling started falling on people!
