How many games have you not completed?
« on: 16 Feb 2005, 04:56 »

When I though of this topic, I though I'd be able to say I've completed most of my games, then I took a closer look, and realised that I've never seen the end sequence on more than 20 of my games.

So how many games do you own, but never made it to the end?  I'm not counting completing the game put not finding all the heart pieces / dog tags, etc.  If you got to the end sequence you completed the game.

Usually i am not able to finish a game bacause my comp does not like it.

If not, then i get bored somewhere at the middle and start it again.

heh, first to vote more than 25.  I generally don't play games for their immersive story, just for their cool features.  I've beat more than 25 too, though.

But I guess we have to define what counts, because most games I don't actually buy.  And what about cheating?

i hardly complete any game.  not because i can't, but because i usually get bored.  it takes a really good game to hold my interest long enough for me to be able to finish it.  (or a really short one)

Cheating may count if you think it didn't just make it effortless.
Generally, I mean if you had all the time you needed to complete a game, but never did it.  (Renting FFVII for three days wouldn't really count, unless you decided to forgo sleep.)

I have owned far too many games that I didn't complete, mostly because of frustrating game mechanics that have kept me from progressing. I refuse to be some stupid game developer's bitch, so if I get irritated with a game, I stop playing it and wait until my next trade-in session.

I used to work at a video game store and, in my travels, I'd come across a lot of rare or great games that I could buy for discount prices.  As a result I ended up with a collection of 100+ video games spanned across the different systems, and probably only beating about 5-10 of them.  (I have ADD)

About 75% of my games, I've started and never finished.

About 10% I haven't even started.
