Which Fiery Furnaces to get?
« on: 24 Feb 2005, 01:52 »

So as referenced in the strip I'm trying to decide between Blueberry Boat and EP. It's kind of tough to tell from the 30 second samples on iTunes just how potentially wacky BB is. How different from EP is it, and does anyone have any recommendations on which would be the better way to get to know the band? If I go for EP and like it am I just deluding myself since the true Fiery Furnaces experience is vastly different?

My experience went Gallow's Bird Park to Blueberry Boat to EP. For someone new, I'd recommend EP first, because it might help you ease into the BB style - the album features both BB and non-BB type songs. Seems most people who don't like BB don't like it because it can get kind of whacky, so maybe being prepared for it a little will help?
