Since I know a few of you play Counter-strike on these forums, I was wondering if anyone would like to start a QC guild, just for fun. My Cal-IM clan just dissolved, and I think it would be neat to get a bunch of QC fans to go take Cal-O next season.

Is there a reason a lot of people seem to prefer cs 1.6 to source? it just seems like 1.6 has worse graphics and those stupid shield things.

there is a security module in 1.6, eg. less hacking.

but sorry, I'm already clanned in both (though our CAL-IM segment did dissolve)

Really? I hardly see any cheaters in source. But i guess there's no way to tell if they can hide it well.

its prety easy to tell when you look at the whole big picture, which also helps if you have admin.

But then theres the blatent hackers.

One of my favourite admin abuses to do (haha, and yea just when someone is whoring it) is change the gravity very slightly so all the awp jumpers get messed up

I don't like how the AWP works in source.. I remember in CS 1.5 the scout was a lot faster than the awp (as in you only have to stay still for a very short period of time before you get full accuracy), which at least gave it some sort of advantage - the AWPers would have to be standing still. In source it seems the AWP is just as fast as the scout in that regard and its so unbalanced.

I love the pump shotty though. I practically use nothing but that.

I would totally muck around in Source with all of y'alls who have it. I warn you that I am a dynamo with Galil and pump shotty and that I suck with pretty much everything else.

Galil is the cheapest T rifle, right? The FAMAS is the other gun i like.

I fucking love the famas. It is useless on full auto pretty much except within really close range, but from an average distance away w/ 3 shot burst, it gets headshots like nobody's business. Except your head.

I can't do jack shit with a knife. I'll knife someone for like 10 minutes and then they'll just turn around and shoot me. I wish the secondary-swing were always a kill.

My username on friends and stuff is Hoborg. I havent played much lately but I ought to. Well, I OUGHT to finish my final projects but i will probably end up playing counterstrike instead.

famas i tended to use before I could consistantly get a 1:1, it brought up my score becasue of that zoom.

if you want headshots, go with the ak.

Lots of hacking in Source sadly. I practically live in my local LAN centre at weekends and their public server gets beseiged with speedhackers after 6pm.
As for gunnery, M3 + Dual Elites every time I can afford it, or Mac 10 if I'm planning on a suicidal rush (Mac 10 = headshot machine)

Oh yeah, i havent noticed many hackers in cs:s lately, altough i do usually go to the ones with anti cheat systems in them, so i can get a decent game. It was insane how many hackers there were in cs for hl1 .

I'd join, but on the topic of hackers, its Steams fault for releasing Bots, as soon as they released the bot, it was easy for idiots to break the code down and use their aimbot for their own use.

Im not sure if it was released already but the VAC 2 anti cheat thing is out/comeing out for cs: source, Vac 1 was used for cs so this should stop the overflow of hackers.

Anyways It would be cool to play some CS with QC ppl!

again, get me on AIM for it. nobodys on it usually, but once 2-3 people join it fills up fast, and iw oudlnt want you playing by yourself, so get me on AIM, ill give you ip and play with you.
