So... there's a sexy new trailer out.  You can view it at www.zelda.com .  Any opinions?

Yes. This game looks REALLY AWESOME. And I want to play it now. But I can't. maybe I'll bust out OOT, but I don't want to go through the whole portion as a kid again, that part wasn't too fun. Maybe I'll just play Link to the Past, since that one was THE BEST.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

I never really beat Wind Waker, but this one is exciting! We pretty much got Gamecube for Zelda... and for Pikmin, of course.

I've never really dug the "dark" aesthetic for Linkus, but technically it's gorgeous. The idea of playing that on a Gamecube kinda makes my jaw go CLUNK (it has hit the floor).

Agree 100%.  I am sure I will end up playing this.  I just wish they'd at least do something different with it.  Also I hope that is a custom title for you, as it is awesome and fitting.

Wouldn't it be out of place anywhere BUT your right hand?

As for the darker aspect... I dunno.  It looks epic, much as WW looked cartoony.  WW had a cartoony plot that worked with the cel-shading and the fact that you were a ten-year old boy in a vast, strange world.  If Zelda 2005 has an epic plot, I will enjoy this.

Also, more mounts than just Epona!  Word, yo!

And I'm holding out for the Princess.  Whether she's in Ninja, Pirate, or Princess form, she's gonna be HAWT, yo.

I haven't owned a console since the N64. Windwaker would have made me buy a Gamecube if it didn't piss me off so much with it's changes. But THIS game.... I will kill for.

Wind Waker was a great game, though...

I'm disappointed they went back to the OoT style. It just looks bland now.

Sailing wasn't that bad. I always make my ship jump and try to not touch those white lines that sometimes appear on the water, which is really quite entertaining.

I really liked WW, I thought it was adorable and a nice variation on the Zelda story.

I also liked how there were pirates. OOH oooh and how you could wear the lobster shirt after beating the game. That was awesome.

It lacked in a lot of classic Zelda stuff though, and was awfully short.

REally looking forward to this new one. ^_^

The only thing I missed in WindWaker was the complex dungeons like in OoT. While it had its moments, WW was just too easy for me.

Yeah. I miss the days when each dungeon was like a three-day play(I was like 10). When every single room was a puzzle all on it's own. Those days were AWESOME.

Heh, I got through Wind Walker pretty quick but haven't beat it as I am to HURRR stupid to figure out how to beat up Gannon.

I look forward to the new Zelda but hope they don't completly abandon the cel-shaded look.

Plus I just remembered the screaming ghouls and all the monster design in WW  makes me want to bludgeon people who just write it off as "OMG dum kiddy game."

The final boss of Wind Waker is easily the coolest of any Zelda game.

And it definitely has the darkest ending.

I didn't like Wind Waker, graphically that is. The adventure was fun and I had a great time jamming out to Rammstien as I sailed the seas like a miniature pirate.

unfortunately, I got lost at one point and I NEVER PLAYED AGAIN.

edit: Also I noticed theres a new trailer out....totally awesome. I like beautiful everything is....

A lot of the recent zelda games puzzles cannot stand up against A link to the past.  That game pissed me off so much with it's holes in the ground where you would fall and fall and fall.  Floor masters are the most annoying thing ever created since a kid with add and ocd.

Haha, good to know that I'm not a complete loser. Although I actually might be; did anyone else work on the Nintendo Gallery? I did, for a while, and I plan to take a picture of Gannon at the end for my gallery. It's just really cute! And a good time-waster, too. Sailing back and forth, getting little statues made...

Gah did anyone else really dislike Link's Awakening? It was my first Zelda game and I got really stuck at the beginning and it turned me off from all of them for a while. Although I was like 8 or whatever, so that may have had something to do with it...

I'm gonna go replay WW soon, hehe. I did the white line jumping thing too, and started on the Nintendo Gallery... I'm always abotu trying to get the game 100% completed. I didn't stop playing the original Pokemon until I had all 150.

Probably shouldn't have said that, but meh...

I'm also glad I tried WW... I wrote it off for it's graphics but then actually played it and fell in love with it. And yeah, the ending was probably one of the best Zelda endings EVER. Almost brought tears to my eyes. LttP is still my favourite ever Zelda game (I broke my old Amiga just so my parents would buy me a SNES to play LttP, hehe) and Link's Awakening was lots of fun... they should bring the Magic Feather into more games, lol.

I can't wait for the new game. 'Real' 3D Zelda = always a good thing. Just hope it doesn't suffer from the usual Zelda syndrome of copious delays... and hope it lasts longer than OoT and WW.

I don't think I can ever say anything bad about any game in the Zelda series.  Legend of Zelda is easily tied with Final Fantasy for my favorite game series ever.  I've never played Majora's Mask, Four Swords, Minish Cap, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Ages, but I'm working on getting all of them.  Every other Zelda game is awesome.  I even love Adventures of Link.  The new one will be my personal Halo 2, in that I'd be willing to wait in line for hours just to get it.

Look on eBay.  I've already looked there, and it's all over the place.  I was gonna bid on one, but a friend of mine from work said his sister has one from when she got a Gamecube and never played it, so if he can find it, it's mine.  Muahaha!  And if not, back to eBay.

Bu-wha?  The new graphical style is totally inappropriate for WW.

Believe me, I beat it twice.  The second time, I was under the misguided notion that the Hero's New Quest would end with a FREAKIN' HERO'S NEW ENDING!  BUT NOOO... I got the same ending over again!

Hem-hem.

Right.  Wind Waker's plot and characters are cartoony, and are best depicted in the cel-shaded fashion.

Booger-Boy would lose a little something in the translation.  *Shed solitary tear*

Also, why would Nintendo do that?  They haven't improved the graphics of any other Zelda game they re-released.

I think you got duped, son.

I really doubt any company offering preorders for the game is legit. The game doesn't have a release date yet and still only has a tentative title. I'm with MFD in thinking this must be a scam.
