I just spend nearly an hour lookign for a game that even LOOKED worth playing.. Found NOTHING that looked like it would occupy more than a single day. What the bloody fecking hell is wrong with this wave of games(not the ones being developed. The ones already released)? THEY ARE CRAP. Discuss.

Try the magic of books. They're wonderful stimuli. They used them back in the dark ages before video games.

Well, what Systems do you haves?

Also, you could always just dig up classics....

marathon is the greatest game ever.  go play it.

(alephone is the port to linux/windows/osx, and the original data files have been freely released.   go.  play.)

Better question: What systems do I NOT have?

The ones I currently have hooked up are as follows: PS2; XBox; CG; SNES; NES.

Not all of them work; But I have all of the following:
PC(Workd)
PSOne(works)
PS2(works)
XBox(works)
Game Cube(works)
N64(works)
SNES(works)
NES(works)
Sega Genesis(works)
Sega CD(Doesn't work)
Sega Saturn(doesn't work)
Atari. One of the older ones. I forget the number.(works)

I do not ever get rid of old gaming systems. Ever.

And no. there are no games that I wanted and do not have. I worked a $10/hr job(that added tp up like a $50US game and a half per day of work) for several years with little-to-no living expence and got paid in cash, so had no taxes.  As a result I have had no shortage of funds for gaming.

Since handhelds are apparently not being counted...

In my corner:

NES
SNES
N64
Gamecube
Master System
Genesis
Dreamcast
Turbo Duo
3DO
PS1
PS2
XBox

All in working condition(though I lack a power adapter for the Duo).

I lament that I haven't broken the 8 bit barrier yet, though. :(

AND ALL SHALL BOW DOWN BEFORE THE MIGHT OF PONG.

The ones that I have that are not in working order are as such because of lack of Console>TV and Console>Outlet wires. The boxes on their own are in complete working order. I need to forrage for power cables and RFU adapters.

NES
SNES
N64
Dreamcast
Xbox

That's all I needed.  N64 for GoldenEye.  No game has ever been more enjoyable.  Mmm, dual controller perfection.  Dreamcast was awesome for the availability of games.  Same with the Xbox.

In line with the actual post:  look into Phantom Dust for the Xbox.  Supposed to be pretty decent.  Once I get off work I'll be giving it a whirl.

I suggest Spider-man 2.

Also, Viewtiful Joe.

Both of those should be player's choice (read: cheap) for the GCN.

I am gonna make a fence out of stone swords around my azalea garden that doesn't exist yet. Maybe they'll be apples instead, apples are the best fruit.

Indeed! Alas I crave apples now.

Star Wars:  Republic Comando seems like a fun sort of FPS kind of tactical game.  Unlike those crap ass Clancy tactical FPS games.

Not sure what type of games you like, but I been playing gunbound. It's a cute little free multiplayer game.

Be warned it's filled with tons of foreign 12 year olds. But its highly addictive. Pretty easy to learn, but hard to master.

Alright I'm gonna go out on a limb here and reveal the extent of my geek-dom to all:  Text based role-playing game.  DragonRealms.  WARNING:  It is text-based.  Kinda sorta loosely modeled on AD&D, but much, much, much better.  There's 3 instances of the game, Prime (normal), Platinum, (super small server, highly role-play based), and, where I play now: The Fallen (no rules server, no RP, PvP abounds).  I think you can try Prime for a month free.  If you like table-top RPGs I highly recommend checking it out.

I played DR all the time.

I tried to play again about a month ago, but I'm too indecisive. I'd get to like...Circle 10 Empath, then decide I want to kill things, so I make a Paladin, but find it's too expensive and...I can't stay in one place for long.
