Has anyone seen that (relatively) new Adidas commercial for the "first intelligent shoe"?  The one with the guy who's dreaming?

I'd like to say, first off, that from a film-student point of view, that commercial is a work of art and should win some sort of award.

But here's my question - what's the song they used for it?  It's so pretty and I need to know badly!  I want that music!  Also, who's the artist and does anyone know any other great songs by her/them?

It's by Squeak E. Clean. And I don't think they have any other songs besides that one. I know it has the singer from Yeah Yeah Yeahs on it, whatever her name was.

That's gotta be the worst band name I've ever heard.

No other songs!  Then how can I acquire this one?  It's not coming up as a result on my downloading program of choice =(

For some reason whenever I see/hear this commercial I think "Mercury Rev."  And no matter how much I remember getting annoyed by Jonathan Donahue's voice, I feel compelled to go dig up All is Dream and listen to it.  But yeah, whatever that song is in the commercial is cool.

I don't like Mercury Rev, which probably makes me a bad person to someone out there.  But I loved that song.

Karen O., and if I may, I fucking KNEW IT!

I mentioned that to someone and they were like "Pff, it can't be her!" But it TOTALLY IS.

her squeeze directed the ad...

it seems odd to be discussing an advert the same way as a music video - Adidas must be creaming themsleves with happiness right now..

It's wierd because I was thinking about asking what that song was too.

That is one hell of a dream.

It looks cool and helps build hype for the shoe.  That right there's pretty much the point of any shoe commercial.

But in a less sarcastic vein, I really do hope it's a shoe that can create solid land and control gravity because that would be FUCKING SWEET.

Didn't one of the Mega Man games (orginal NES) have a level where gravity was reversed and you could walk on the ceiling?  That was fun.  Of course if gravity was reversed in real life, I think it would be cool for the first day or so and then we'd say "ok, enough of this, lets go back to regular gravity."

thats why you need the shoes! they will *know* that you are outside and will go to the ground instead of, if you're lucky, a passing airplane...
